In its continuing effort to provide efficient and quality services, DSWD Field Office (FO) 3 – Central Luzon marked another milestone through the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Pampanga.
The new facility will serve as a dedicated client reception and service area for Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) recipients, ensuring a safer, more accessible, organized, and client-centered environment.
Atty. Edward Justine R. Orden, Undersecretary for General Administration and Support Services Group (GASSG), graced the ceremony, congratulating Field Office 3 on this significant milestone and reaffirming his support for initiatives that strengthen the Department’s service delivery capacity. He likewise expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to Governor Lilia Pineda and the Provincial Government of Pampanga for their continued support and commitment to providing a site for the establishment of the new facility.
In her opening remarks, Regional Director Venus F. Rebuldela emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration and adequate service facilities in ensuring accessible, dignified, and efficient assistance. Meanwhile, former Assistant Regional Director for Administration and now OIC Regional Director for MIMAROPA, RD Allyp Albert L. Baybayan, recognized the collective efforts that made the project possible.
The groundbreaking marks a significant step toward bringing responsive, accessible, and people-centered social protection services closer to the people of Pampanga, reinforcing the Department’s commitment to providing dignified assistance to every Filipino in need.
