GSIS and San Miguel Foods signed a Memorandum of Agreement to open new livelihood and entrepreneurship opportunities for government workers and their families.​

Through the partnerships, members may access training, business readiness support, and livelihood packages to help them start small enterprises, from reselling to food carts and baking ventures.​

The Department of Trade and Industry – Romblon, in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority- Romblon and Local Government Unit of Odiongan, invites all fashion designers to participate in the 𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲: 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 & 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗿, one of the highlights of the Kanidugan Festival 2026.

This activity aims to highlight the creativity and innovation of local designers in creating modern and sustainable fashion inspired by the coconut industry. It also seeks to promote the use of eco-friendly and locally sourced materials while showcasing the talent and craftsmanship of Romblomanon designers.

The new route, Looc, Romblon – Malay, Aklan and vice versa, is expected to enhance passenger convenience and improve the transport of goods between Romblon and Aklan, supporting local tourism and economic activities.

The tentative start of sailing is on March 5, 2026, subject to final regulatory clearances and operational readiness.
