♟️✨ Junior High Minds at Play: NBW 2025 Chess Tournament! ✨♟️
As part of the National Book Week 2025 celebration, the FEU Diliman Library hosted the Junior High Edition Chess Tournament at the BED Library—an exciting showcase of strategy, focus, and friendly competition among our brilliant Baby Tamaraws.
Chess, much like reading, sharpens critical thinking, strengthens problem-solving skills, and nurtures patience and discipline. Holding this tournament in the library highlights how both books and games of the mind help build stronger, smarter, and more thoughtful learners.

🎨✨ Creativity in Full Color at the NBW 2025 Poster Making Contest! ✨🎨
As part of the National Book Week 2025 celebration with the theme “Tulay ang Pagbasa sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-asa,” the FEU Diliman Library successfully concluded its Poster Making Contest held today at the BED Library. Our talented Baby Tamaraws from Grades 4–12 showcased their imagination, artistry, and love for reading through meaningful and vibrant posters inspired by this year’s theme.
Poster-making plays an important role in promoting reading and library appreciation—it encourages students to interpret ideas visually, deepen their understanding of the theme, and express how books can bridge minds, communities, and futures.
🏆 Winners will be announced on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Wrapping up Day 2 of our National Book Week 2025 celebration! 📚✨
The FEU Diliman Librsry proudly hosted two exciting events for our Grade School learners: the Chess Tournament and the Battle of the Readers: Trivia Showdown.
These activities don’t just bring fun and friendly competition—they strengthen critical thinking, sharpen minds, and inspire a deeper love for books. Through library-led events like these, we continue to guide students toward curiosity, learning, and discovery.

Our Battle of the Readers: Trivia Showdown Year 3 brought out the best of our Grade School learners! 📚💡
This quiz bee featured exciting questions from three well-loved books: Alice in Wonderland, Si Pagong at si Matsing, and Jack and the Beanstalk.
The essence of this event is to inspire students to read more, think deeper, and appreciate the joy of stories. Organized by FEU Diliman library in celebration of the National Book Week 2025, this activity proves that reading truly builds confident and curious minds.
Congratulations to Grade 6-Love for topping this year’s Trivia Showdown. Congratulations as well to Grade 5-Industrious and Grade 6-Loyalty for winning 2nd and 3rd place consecutively! 🏆📖

Our Grade School Chess Tournament was a huge success! ♟️🏆 Congratulations to Arch Caezer Chia, Grade 6 student for topping the competition. Congratulations as well to Andrew Cabrera and Camryn Adison Montevigen for winning second and third place consecutively.
Chess and the library go hand in hand—both challenge our minds, sharpen our thinking, and help us grow. This exciting event is part of our National Book Week celebration, reminding us that learning comes in many forms.

✨ That’s a wrap for Day 1 of National Book Week 2025!
What an exciting start to our celebration!
Our library kicked off the festivities with a colorful Book Character Parade, bringing stories to life through creative costumes and lively energy. 🎭✨
We also hosted a heartwarming Storytelling Session with our friends from Scholastic, who captivated our students with engaging tales and inspiring narratives. 📖🌟
To cap off the day, we held an insightful Symposium on Plagiarism and Proper Citation, led by our distinguished speaker, Mr. Joseph Yap. His session reminded everyone of the importance of academic honesty and responsible scholarship. 📝🎓
And that’s just Day 1! See you tomorrow for the second day of NBW as we unleash who will rise in the Battle of the Readers and the Chess Masters of the Grade School Department! ♟️📚🔥
