Held on November 30, 2024, this momentous event began with a lively Parade of the Children, symbolizing unity and joy within our community. The program featured a talk with World Vision, the inspiring State of the Children’s Address led by Kap. Jojo Abad, and the fun-filled Sabay-sabay Lilipad with Gizmo activity.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Barangay Batasan Hills Council, led by Kap. Jojo Abad and BCPC Co-chairperson Kgd. Ernie Custodio, as well as to the SK Council headed by SK Chairman Gabriel Peralta.

Special thanks to Councilors Candy Medina and Aly Medalla, the BCPC Volunteers, and the Youth Organization Presidents who worked tirelessly to ensure the event’s success.

Together, we celebrate the resilience and potential of our children as we strive to create a safer and brighter future for all.

On 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, all youth organization 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 and 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 have gathered for a BCPC PAR. COMM. meeting and orientation. It tackled the United Nations - Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) led by 𝐁𝐂𝐏𝐂 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏. 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧 and for the upcoming Capacity Building and Children’s Month project proposals proceeded by 𝐁𝐂𝐏𝐂 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐃. 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐚 together with 𝐁𝐂𝐏𝐂 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐬. 𝐄𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨.

There has also been an open forum for the attendees’ insights, ideas, and concerns about what has been discussed to properly address and make all future projects beneficial for the youth of Batasan Hills.

OATH-TAKING CEREMONY

Today marks a significant milestone as we witness the official Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected BCPC Participation Committee headed by our Brgy. Captain and BCPC Chairperson, Kap. Jojo Abad with the supervision of BCPC Co-Chairperson, Kgwd. Ernie Custodio and Focal Person Mrs. Erlinda Natavio. This event not only symbolizes leadership but also embodies commitment, teamwork, and the promise of a brighter future for the children and youth of our community.

Here’s to new beginnings, collective growth, and an unforgettable year ahead! Together, we can make change and achieve greatness. ✨

ECPAT MEETING
World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

On the same day after the Nutri Month Celebration last July 31, 2024, the BCPC Participation Committee also went to the ECPAT Philippines Office to attend a meeting along with other Barangay Representatives around Quezon City. The said meeting discussed the signing of the MOA as well as the important informations and preparation for World Day Against Trafficking in Persons Seminar that was rescheduled for August 03, 2024 due to Typhoon Cariña.

The ECPAT Representative of Batasan Hills has also communicated with the children and youth facilitator, Ms. Mara Forte for future project proposals this month of August.

NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION 2024

On July 24, 2024, the BCPC Participation Committee joined the 50th Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme “SA PPAN: Sama-Sama Sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para Sa Lahat” at the New Barangay Hall.

In line with the celebration, there has been a cooking contest in which the students participated with their guiding teachers from different schools around Quezon City. Different youth organizations have also attended the said event, which was headed by the BCPC and Barangay Officials of Batasan Hills.

The celebration wouldn’t be possible if not for our beloved Barangay Captain, Kap. Jojo M. Abad.
