PNP ARRESTS FOREIGN NATIONAL FOR ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT SYNDICATE IN BAGUIO CITY
The Philippine National Police, under the command of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., successfully apprehended a Pakistani national wanted for Illegal Recruitment committed by a syndicate during an operation conducted at around 7:30 PM on May 2, 2026, along Kennon Road, Camp 7, Baguio City.
Operatives from Rosario Municipal Police Station and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Batangas Provincial Police Office, together with the Special Operations Division, Regional Highway Patrol Unit National Capital Region, and Provincial Highway Patrol Team Nueva Ecija of the PNP Highway Patrol Group served the Warrant of Arrest against the accused, with no bail recommended. The individual is now under the custody of Rosario MPS for documentation and proper legal proceedings.
“This arrest sends a clear message that the law will catch up with those who exploit others for profit,” said PGEN Nartatez. “Hindi kami titigil sa paghahanap at pag-aresto sa mga sindikatong nananamantala sa kapwa Pilipino.”
The operation reflects the PNP’s Focused Agenda—a strategic direction of transformation designed to make police service more responsive and firm in enforcing the law. Among its key priorities is enhanced managing police operations, which drives sustained efforts in locating and arresting wanted persons involved in organized criminal activities.
PGEN Nartatez added, “Our law enforcement actions remain focused on dismantling criminal networks that undermine public trust.” He stressed, “Ang sinumang lumalabag sa batas, lokal man o dayuhan, ay mananagot at haharap sa hustisya.”
The successful apprehension strengthens the PNP’s campaign against illegal recruitment and organized crime, ensuring that offenders are held accountable and communities are protected from exploitation.
As the PNP sustains aggressive operations against criminal elements and fugitives under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”

During the operation, PDEA as the lead implementing agency, supported by PNP maritime, provincial, and local police units, was able to intercept an alleged illegal drug transaction.
