NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through Commission en Banc Resolution No. R077-2026, has issued a Cease and Desist Order against St. Therese College of Taguig for the unauthorized offering of the following degree programs, without valid government authority from the Commission:

a. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
b. Bachelor of Science in Criminology
c. Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management

The Cease and Desist Order was issued upon the report and recommendation of the CHED Regional Office - National Capital Region (CHEDRO NCR), which found that the said institution has been offering the abovementioned programs without the requisite authority from CHED.

Pursuant to the said Order, St. Therese College of Taguig is directed, among others, to immediately cease and desist from offering the above-mentioned programs and to stop the recruitment and admission of students thereto.

The public is advised to exercise due diligence in verifying the recognition and authority of higher education institutions and programs prior to enrollment to avoid issues in the issuance of Special Orders and recognition of credentials, and to coordinate with the concerned CHED Regional Office for proper guidance.

CHED, in coordination with relevant government agencies, maintains official verification systems for this purpose, including the Philippine Teacher Education Registry (PhilTER) (tec.gov.ph/philter), the CHED TANAW (ched.gov.ph/tanaw), and the Register of Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) (phquar.ched.gov.ph), which serve as authoritative references on the recognition status of institutions and programs.

This Notice is issued for the information and guidance of the public.

NOTICE is hereby given to the public that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through Resolution No. R015-2025, approved the issuance of a Phase-Out Order covering the identified programs of the following Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) in the National Capital Region (NCR), effective at the end of Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026:

Pursuant to the foregoing Resolution, the eight ( 8 ) TEls are, among others, directed to strictly comply with the following directives, which are hereby reiterated for the guidance of all concerned:
a. Prohibited from accepting new/freshman students for enrollment in the abovementioned programs beginning 1st Semester AY 2025-2026;
b. Directed to transfer the existing first and second year students to other CHED-recognized institutions, with the assistance of the concerned CHEDRO;
c. Directed to allow the existing third and fourth year students to complete their studies until graduation, which shall be issued a Special Order subject to the evaluation of concerned CHEDRO of the graduates' competencies in accordance with the requirements outlined in the CHED MORPHE.

The public is hereby advised to exercise due diligence in ascertaining the recognition and authority of any higher education program or institution prior to enrolment, to avoid complications in the issuance of Special Orders and the recognition of academic credentials. Students, parents, guardians, and other stakeholders are likewise enjoined to coordinate with the concerned CHED Regional Office for proper guidance on matters relating to program verification.
