The summit, themed โTransformation through Diaspora Engagement: Harnessing Filipino Global Power in Advancing the Philippinesโ Cultural, Economic, and Political Goals,โ coincides with the CFOโs 46th anniversary on June 16, 2026. It aims to serve as a strategic platform to move beyond traditional migration management and toward a future where the diaspora is a cornerstone of the countryโs national development.

related to K to 12 and other Updates from DepEd

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) would like to invite all the Philippine Schools Overseas (PSOs) to participate in the organized webinar of the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) on Understanding Issuances related to K to 12 and other updates from the Department of Education. This aims to help private schools, including the PSOs, understand government policies and requirements that affect their operations.
In coordination with PEAC, this free Zoom webinar for PSOs will be held at 2:00 p.m. (Manila Time) on 18 March 2026. Each PSO is given only two (2) slots for the said webinar. For more details on the webinar and registration steps, please click this link: https://forms.office.com/r/RLPirxs8dw.

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas announced Monday that all Philippine Schools Overseas (PSOs) in Middle Eastern territories affected by the escalating conflict involving Iran remain safe and operational. Some schools have shifted to online classes following directives from their respective host countries.
Following coordinated check-calls initiated by the CFO Monday morning, school administrators across the region confirmed that their students, faculty, and facilities remain unaffected by the current hostilities.
The CFOโs proactive outreach serves as a critical pulse check on the safety of the Filipino academic community during this period of heightened geopolitical tension.

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) asks overseas Filipinos to exercise discretion when enrolling in "institutes" or "training centers" overseas that market themselves as Philippine Schools Overseas (PSOs).
Enrolling in these institutions does not guarantee a standard of education, may result in unaccredited academic units, higher tuition, and other issues arising from studying outside the official curriculum of the Department of Education.
As of writing, there are only 35 accredited PSOs across the globe. Please be advised that only the following schools have Permits to Operate or Government Recognition from the Philippine government:
