HSEU | HEALTH TIPS
Did you know that walking is one of the simplest, most accessible ways to naturally boost your overall well-being? Breaking up long periods of sitting with a daily walk can completely transform your health.
The Health Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit (HSEU) advises the public to actively combat the health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Prolonged sitting and inactivity significantly contribute to long-term health complications. To promote public wellness, we encourage everyone to integrate a foundational human activity into their daily routines: Daily Walking.
Easy ways to sneak in extra steps today:
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
- Take a quick 10–15 minute stroll during your lunch break.
- Park further away at the back of the parking lot.
- Pace around while you are on phone calls.
- Grab a friend or colleague and become step buddies.
Let us take collective action toward a healthier, more active community. Commit to the goal today.
