DAR CALABARZON Caps Women’s Month with Meaningful Culminating Activity

March 31, 2026 was both informative and enjoyable for the DAR CALABARZON Regional Office as it held its culminating activity for Women’s Month. The event was attended by nearly all employees, led by Assistant Regional Director Atty. Rexie M. Maristela.

Guest speakers from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) MIMAROPA shared valuable insights on entrepreneurial mindset, digital marketing, and business registration. These topics empowered not only women but all the participants, aligning with this year’s theme: “WE (Women and Everyone) for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.” The discussions encouraged active participation as the attendees recognized the importance and relevance of the information shared.

In addition, the activity served as a platform to celebrate “Modern Babaylans”, the individuals who lead and inspire in today’s society, much like the Babaylans of ancient times. Participants were given the opportunity to reflect on who they consider their modern Babaylans and how these women have made a positive impact in their lives.

Once again, the DAR CALABARZON Regional Office demonstrated its commitment to organizing meaningful activities that not only engage participants but also leave lasting lessons.

In line with its commitment to transparency and accountability, the Commission on Audit conducted an exit conference at the DAR CALABARZON Regional Office, today, March 30, 2026. The meeting was attended by designated personnel led by Assistant Regional Director Atty. Rexie M. Maristela. Also present were representatives from COA, Ms. Mylene Cartagenas, Team Leader of the Audit Team, and Ms. Juliet Sampelo.

During the conference, Ms. Cartagenas formally presented the audit findings and recommendations for 2025. This ensured fair and balanced reporting before the finalization of the audit report.

Moreover, the conference provided an opportunity for the regional office management to share their side regarding the issues raised. It became an interactive discussion which allowed both parties to clarify concerns and gain a better understanding of the matters presented.

Ultimately, the conference was essential as it facilitated the acceptance and implementation of the audit recommendations.

A significant milestone once again marked the continued pursuit of excellence of DAR CALABARZON as it successfully conducted the Regional Direction Setting and Firming-Up of the Operational Plan for CY 2026 alongside the Performance Recognition for CY 2025. The two-day activity was held on March 16–17, 2026 in Quezon City.

The event was led by Regional Director Cupido Gerry Asuncion and Assistant Regional Director Atty. Rexie M. Maristela, with the active participation of personnel from the various provinces across the region, including the Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers (PARPOs) and Provincial Agrarian Reform Adjudicators (PARADs).

The activity centered on the presentation of sectoral directives which fostered an engaging and interactive environment through the active involvement of participants. This dynamic exchange of ideas not only enriched the discussions but also demonstrated the attendees’ strong grasp of the plans and directions set forth for the coming year.

Moreover, a recognition ceremony was held to honor the invaluable contributions and outstanding performance of the provinces within the region. The awarding served as a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the employees in successfully implementing the agency’s programs and projects.
