Please be advised that starting April 6, 2026, the RASL will suspend walk-in services every Monday to support the Institute’s energy conservation initiatives.

While our physical office will be closed on Mondays, our office will be reachable via email to assist with your urgent concerns. Normal walk-in operations will resume every Tuesday to Friday.

We appreciate your cooperation.

The RASL will not be accepting samples for analytical services from March 30, 2026 - April 1, 2026 due to the upcoming holidays.

Acceptance of samples will resume on April 6, 2026.

The workshop, "Chemical Safety: The Ultimate Lab Accessory," held on November 25, 2025, at the NSRI Conference Room, proved to be a great success. We are proud to announce that our laboratory head, Dr. Jonah L. Bondoc, will deliver a plenary talk at the upcoming 12th Philippine Marine Mammal Stranding Network (PMMSN) National Symposium on December 09, 2025.

Dr. Bondoc's presentation is titled: "Chemical Pollutants in Stranded Marine Mammals: Unveiling Critical One Health Implications."

This year’s program will feature distinguished leaders who have long supported the PMMSN. They will provide crucial insight into emerging research developments and the evolving challenges in marine mammal conservation. Participants can anticipate engaging in-depth discussions and dialogues throughout these plenary talks.

Dr. Charita S. Kwan, former RASL laboratory head, presented "Overcoming Difficulties in Probing the Chemical Safety of Philippine Tablea" at this year's Saliksikhay on November 21, 2025, at the Aldaba Hall, UP Theatre. The event, facilitated by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development, featured speakers sharing their research challenges through storytelling.
