‘DO NOT PADLOCK THE SENATE’

Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano announced that he will issue a memorandum to the Senate Secretariat and the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms directing them to keep the Senate premises open on Thursday, June 4.

“We will have the Blue Ribbon Committee [hearing]. As Senate President, nasa authority ko po ang premises ng Senado,” Cayetano said.

His statement contradicts the earlier announcement of Sen. Erwin Tulfo, the newly appointed chairperson of the committee, who said that the Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on the alleged anomalous flood control projects would be held on Monday, June 8.
