Kapihan at Kumustahan: Bridging Agricultural Education, Youth Agripreneurship, and the Right to Food in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol"

12/10/2026

Ngayong 11 Oktubre, nakikiisa ang Commission on Human Rights sa paggunita ng International Day of the Girl Child, na may temang “End Child Marriage. Invest in Girls’ Rights.”

Justice for victims of human rights violations must also mean helping them rebuild their lives.

Fear, trauma, and barriers to reporting can keep victims from seeking redress. In its position paper on House Bill No. 580, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) stresses that these circumstances must be considered so that deserving claims are not barred by rigid filing deadlines. Access to compensation should also not depend on a prior criminal conviction.

By making reparation accessible and responsive to victims’ needs, the proposed measure can help restore dignity, support healing, and strengthen accountability. Preventing the recurrence of abuses must remain central to these efforts.
