๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ | BPCA's Colors of Connection ๐ซ๐ฉท๐
Last night, during the Gabay sa Pagsasanay: Capacity Bulding and Training for Trainers and Facilitators, the Barangay Pansol Childrenโs Association (BPCA) held a two-hour session of Colors of Connectionโa game designed to bring fun, openness, and meaningful reflection into one activity.
Each participant was given a piece of colored strip of paper corresponding to a specific reflection:
โ Pink ๐ฉท for someone they are thankful for
โ Green ๐ for someone they would like to say sorry to
โ White ๐ค for a memorable experience or story they would like to share from their BPCA journey
Before sharing, participants were given 15 minutes to reflect on their experiences, relationships, and moments within BPCA. Rather than writing their answers, they were asked to personally remember what they wanted to express, making each colored strip a simple prompt for their reflection.
After the reflection period, BPCA formed a circle, where each member gave their chosen colored strip to the person it was intended for and personally explained the meaning behind their choiceโsharing who they were thankful for and why, whom they wanted to apologize to and why, or the memorable BPCA experience they wished to share. This allowed every message to be heard and understood by the whole group.
The activity aimed to strengthen relationships within BPCA, encourage open communication, promote accountability and humility, and give members the opportunity to appreciate the people and experiences that have shaped their journey in the organization.
What began as a simple and enjoyable game became a space for reflection, appreciation, and humilityโencouraging members to recognize the people who have shaped their journey, acknowledge mistakes, and revisit meaningful moments within the organization. ๐ฅน๐
Beyond the laughter and stories, the activity reminded everyone that connection is built not only through shared experiences, but also through gratitude, accountability, and the humility to understand one another. ๐
