Nagkaloob ng libreng serbisyong legal ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Legal Office (PLO) ngayong araw May 25, 2026 sa MDRRMO Training Center, Punta Baja, Rizal, Palawan.

Sa ilalim ng Provincial Legal Extension Services Program (PLESP) ng PLO ay nagsagawa ng lecture seminar na aktibong dinaluhan ng mga piling Barangay Officials ng labing isang (11) ng bayan ng Rizal.

Tinalakay rito ang ilang batas gaya ng Republic Act 6713; RA 3019 & RA 11033 o Duties and Accountabilities of Government Officials and Employees; RA 9262 o Anti - Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC); Anti Trafficking in Persons Act; RA 11313 or The Safe Spaces Act (Bawal Bastos Law) at Katarungang Pambarangay na ibinahagi ng DILG.

Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng Provincial Legal Office kasama sina Atty. Mae Joyce Magbanua-Anjalin, Mr Ted Guian (LGOO VI - DILG), Mr. Jayson O. Padin (Labor & Employment Officer III - DMW).

Nakibahagi rin sa naturang aktibidad sina Mr. Arvin C. Fuentes (Executive Assistant II) na kumatawan kay Mayor Norman S. Ong, Mr. Vladimir Esperancilla (Executive Assistant II) na kumatawan naman kay Vice Mayor Ma. Gracia Macasaet-Zapanta at si Mr. Joseph B. Lorenzo (MLGOO - Rizal).

Samantala, inilunsad ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ang PLESP upang maipaabot sa mga mamamayan sa iba’t ibang panig ng lalawigan ang mga serbisyong legal sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Gob. Amy Roa Alvarez.

Kabilang ang Bayan ng Rizal sa walong bayan sa Palawan na lumagda sa kasunduan kasama ang Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Brooke’s Point, El Nido, Taytay, Roxas, at Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan.

Kinatawan ni Executive Assistant II Arvin C. Fuentes ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng Rizal sa isinagawang Memorandum of Agreement signing ceremony para sa Environment and Natural Resources Information System (ENRIS) sa pagitan ng Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) at Korea International Cooperation Agency Philippines (KOICA), na ginanap noong Mayo 19 sa Hue Hotel, Puerto Princesa City.

Layunin ng ENRIS program ang pagpapalakas ng food security at pagtugon sa mga hamon ng climate change sa pamamagitan ng pagtatayo ng mga weather station at water monitoring station sa mga piling bayan sa lalawigan. Makakatulong ang mga proyektong ito sa mas epektibong pagsubaybay sa lagay ng panahon at kalidad ng tubig sa bawat lugar.

Ayon sa programa, ang pondong gagamitin sa implementasyon ng proyekto ay mula sa KOICA.

The Municipality of Rizal, Palawan has been awarded the 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 in recognition of its outstanding achievement in successfully clearing all (11) eleven barangays from the menace of illegal drugs through the effective implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

This prestigious award underscores the steadfast commitment of the Local Government Unit of Rizal, led by Mayor Norman S. Ong , Vice Mayor Maria Gracia Goh Macasaet-Zapanta , Mr. Ed Monte (Municipal Administrator) and the 17th Sangguniang Bayan Members to promote a safer, healthier, and drug-free community for all Rizaleños.

The Balangay Seal of Excellence is given to local government units that demonstrate exceptional performance in anti-illegal drug initiatives and in sustaining drug-cleared barangays. The recognition reflects the municipality’s strong leadership, coordinated efforts, and the active participation of barangay officials, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), law enforcement agencies, and community stakeholders.

Through the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, the Municipality of Rizal implemented a comprehensive strategy that included information and education campaigns, intensified law enforcement operations, community-based rehabilitation, and regular monitoring and evaluation. These efforts resulted in all eleven barangays being officially declared drug-cleared.

The successful attainment of this recognition is a testament to the power of unity and collaboration in addressing one of society’s most pressing challenges. It also serves as an inspiration for the municipality to sustain its gains and continue strengthening programs that protect the welfare of its people.

With the conferment of the Balangay Seal of Excellence, the Municipality of Rizal reaffirms its commitment to maintaining peace and order and ensuring a brighter, healthier, and more progressive future for every resident.
