🌿💚 BARANGAY GANGAL JOINS INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN-UP DAY 2026 💚🌿

“Ridge to Reef: From Our Community to Our Waterways”
Barangay Gangal, Sallapadan, Abra, through the active participation of our Barangay Officials and 4Ps Beneficiaries, proudly took part in the International Coastal Clean-Up Day 2026 held on September 18, 2026.

Despite being an inland community, we recognize that protecting our rivers and waterways is an important part of protecting our environment. 🌱🌊 Through our collective effort, we helped clean and collect waste along our river system, preventing garbage from being carried downstream and eventually reaching our coastal and marine environments.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all the Barangay Gangal Officials and 4Ps Beneficiaries who generously shared their time, effort, and commitment to keeping our community clean and environmentally responsible. 🙌💚

Barangay Officials of Barangay Gangal led by PB Alex Oballes joins the nationwide celebration of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026! 🇵🇭🌊
In compliance with the DILG Advisory on the celebration of MANA Mo 2026, we proudly participated in the following activities:

🇵🇭 September 7, 2026 – Simultaneous Nationwide Flag Raising Ceremony

We joined the nationwide observance and reaffirmed our commitment to promoting awareness of the Philippines as a Maritime and Archipelagic Nation.

💙 September 24, 2026 – Blue Day Thursday

Our barangay officials and employees proudly wore blue in support of MANA Mo 2026, symbolizing our connection to and appreciation of our country's rich maritime heritage and resources. 🌊🇵🇭

|SECOND DAY OF WATER MAINTENANCE | WATER SUPPLY RESTORED!

After two days of hard work, patience, and bayanihan, we are happy to announce that the water supply in Barangay Gangal has finally been restored! 🙏💙

The damaged and affected pipes along the BUB lines have been repaired and properly fixed. Our team worked tirelessly to address the problem and ensure that water service could resume as soon as possible.

We sincerely thank our Barangay Officials, Barangay Tanods, and community volunteers who gave their time, effort, and strength to help with the maintenance and repair.

To the entire Barangay Gangal community, thank you for your patience and understanding during the temporary water interruption. We truly appreciate everyone's cooperation.

This is what bayanihan is all about—working together and helping one another for the welfare of the whole community. ❤️

💧 BAYANIHAN IN ACTION | WATER LINE REPAIR 🤝
👉🏻August 31 and September 1, 2026

Our heartfelt thanks to the Barangay Officials, Barangay Tanods, and community volunteers from Marasawi who came together today to help repair our water line that was buried and damaged by soil and debris.

Because of their time, effort, and willingness to help, we are working together to restore the water supply to our community as soon as possible. This is a true example of bayanihan—people coming together to help one another, especially in times of need. ❤️

📢 To the Barangay Gangal community:
We would like to inform everyone that the temporary interruption of our water supply is due to the water line being covered by soil, which required immediate clearing and repair.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience and understanding while the repair is ongoing. We will do our best to restore the water supply at the soonest possible time.

Once again, thank you so much to everyone who extended their time, strength, and support. Your cooperation and bayanihan spirit are greatly appreciated.

WATER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE UPDATE | BARANGAY GANGAL

The Barangay Officials of Barangay Gangal, together with dedicated community volunteers, are actively conducting maintenance and repair works on the barangay water system.

The initiative focuses on repairing damaged water pipelines that have caused interruptions in the water supply for several days in some areas of the barangay.

We sincerely thank our Barangay Kagawads, Tanods and community volunteers for their time, effort, and commitment in helping restore our water supply. We also ask for the patience and understanding of all residents while the repair and maintenance activities are ongoing.

Together, we can keep our community’s water system working for everyone.

UPDATE | SITWASYON NG MANICBEL RIVER

Ibinabahagi natin ang kasalukuyang sitwasyon ng Manicbel River batay sa mga kuhang larawan ngayong araw.

📣📣PAALALA SA MGA RESIDENTE MALAPIT SA MANICBEL RIVER

Sa lahat ng residente na nakatira malapit sa Manicbel River, hinihikayat po na lumikas muna sa mas ligtas at mataas na lugar dahil sa patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan at mabilis na pag-agos ng tubig sa ilog.

Huwag na pong hintayin na tumaas pa ang tubig bago lumikas. Unahin ang kaligtasan ng pamilya, lalo na ang mga bata, senior citizens, PWDs, at iba pang nangangailangan ng assistance.

Dalhin lamang ang mahahalagang gamit at dokumento kung ligtas itong gawin. Iwasang lumapit sa ilog o tumawid sa baha, dahil maaaring biglang lumakas ang agos.

Makipag-ugnayan sa mga Barangay Officials/BHERT/BDRRMC para sa kaukulang assistance at impormasyon tungkol sa ligtas na evacuation area.

Maging alerto at huwag balewalain ang sitwasyon. Mas mabuting lumikas nang maaga kaysa malagay sa panganib ang buhay.

Kaligtasan ng bawat pamilya ang ating pangunahing prayoridad.

📹 Narito ang pinakabagong sitwasyon sa Layos River, batay sa video update mula kay Kagawad Wilky Comullob.

Sa kasalukuyan, maayos at passable pa naman ang footbridge. Gayunpaman, pinapayuhan ang lahat ng tumatawid na mag-ingat dahil madulas ang tulay dulot ng patuloy na pag-ulan.

⚠️ Paalala:
• Maglakad nang dahan-dahan at iwasang magmadali sa pagtawid.
• Bantayan ang mga bata at tulungan ang mga matatanda habang tumatawid.
• Iwasang tumawid kung biglang tataas ang tubig o kung mapanganib na ang kondisyon.

Patuloy po tayong mag-monitor ng sitwasyon at magbibigay ng updates kung kinakailangan.
