The Department of Trade and Industry – Misamis Oriental, through the Negosyo Center, conducted the Product Clinic: Assessment, Consultation, and Triage (ACT) on October 10, 2025 at the Northern Mindanao Food Innovation Center (NMFIC) – USTP.

The activity delivered one-on-one consultations for 25 MSMEs from various LGUs in Misamis Oriental, covering product evaluation, packaging and labeling design, and brand refinement. Consultants reviewed each product’s market readiness and provided tailored recommendations for improvement.

The session concluded with MSMEs gaining actionable insights and enhanced product concepts to strengthen competitiveness and market appeal.

From a humble setup with just one baker, one saleslady, and a single glass display, MarVe Bakeshoppe & Food Center has risen into a community favorite in Salay, Misamis Oriental.

For nearly 25 years, founders Marcelo and Evelyn Abejuela have poured faith, hard work, and love into their business — creating beloved treats like their Special Original Torta, Ube Torta, Royal Bibingka, Ensaymada, and Hopia that are enjoyed not only in Misamis Oriental but also in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and even abroad. 🌍✨

Thanks to their determination and the support of DTI programs such as Packaging & Labeling, MBLS, and Product Clinics, MarVe continues to inspire entrepreneurs with their resilience and community spirit.
