" EMPOWERING FUTURE ENTREPRENEURS THROUGH PRODUCT PACKAGING & LABELLING"
August 19, 2026 — The LGU Salay and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Negosyo Center/LEDIPO, successfully conducted a Business Learning Session entitled “The Complete Guide on Product Packaging and Labelling” for the Salay Community College (SACC) – BS Entrepreneurship.
A total of 420 BS Entrepreneurship students participated in this valuable engagement, gaining essential knowledge on the importance of proper product packaging and labelling in starting and growing a successful business.
This activity aimed to help future entrepreneurs understand that packaging and labelling are more than just making a product attractive. They play a vital role in product protection, providing important information, branding, building consumer trust, improving marketability, and complying with relevant requirements.
These learnings will help equip the students as they prepare to develop and eventually implement their own products.
This activity is also part of the school requirements prior to product implementation, providing students with practical knowledge and guidance that they can apply as they transform their business ideas into market-ready products.
Our sincere appreciation to our resource speakers:
Mrs. Jude Andrea Eve Palac-Maternal and Mr. John Carlo Quibido, Professional Food Technologist
During the event, Dr. Dante U. Rio, SACC Dean, delivered the Welcome Remarks, highlighting the importance of providing students with meaningful learning opportunities that will help prepare them for their future endeavors in entrepreneurship.
Also present during the activity was Ms. Lotischen M. Ganotan, Negosyo Center Industry Specialist, from the Department of Trade and Industry – Misamis Oriental, together with Ms. Romelyn Maulas-Mutia, NC Manager/LEDIPO and staff, and the BS Entrepreneurship Program head Mrs. Mae P. Oco, Faculty and Staff.
