During this time of diesel supply challenges, we encourage everyone to support and follow the initiatives of the National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR) on energy conservation.

Simple actions like:
• Turning off lights and appliances when not in use
• Limiting the use of high-energy appliances especially during peak hours (6PM–9PM)
• Using natural light and ventilation during daytime

may seem small, but if we all do our part, malaki po ang magiging epekto nito.

By doing these, we can help prolong the diesel supply and avoid unnecessary power interruptions. This is the time to help each other, not to waste energy, but to use it wisely and responsibly.

In line with Memo Circular No. 114 of the Office of the President directing all government agencies and instrumentalities to strictly adopt energy conservation protocols, the Local Government of San Antonio through Memorandum No. 2026-14 series of 2026 dated March 17, 2026 issued by the Office of the Municipal Mayor will implement a flexible work arrangement effective immediately until further notice.
However, offices or departments providing essential basic and vital service including those responsible for health, public safety, emergency preparedness and response shall not be covered by the Flexible work arrangement to ensure that public services remains uninterrupted.

Committee report on the partial submersion of sea ambulance

PUBLIC ADVISORY📣📣

The Municipal Government would like to inform the public regarding the recent submergence of the municipality’s sea ambulance.

Based on the initial findings during the conducted committee hearing and fact-finding inquiry of the Sangguniang Bayan, the leading cause of the incident was a large log that lodged against the vessel. Due to the strong current caused by continuous heavy rainfall brought about by the shear line, the large log was carried toward the docking area and lodged against the sea ambulance, resulting in damage that led to its partial submergence.

At the time of the incident, the sea ambulance was docked at Lagbangan Lake, which is considered the safest available docking area in the municipality. The vessel could not be transferred to land because doing so requires a trailer, which was not available.

It is also important to clarify that the sea ambulance was not operational due to an existing issue with one of its outboard motors, which was pending repair.

Additionally, the maintenance and operational expenses of the sea ambulance are considerably high. Continuous repairs and upkeep require substantial funding, which may significantly affect and potentially strain the limited financial resources of the Local Government Unit (LGU), alongside other essential priority services.

The Municipal Government remains committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds.

To ensure the safety of students across the province, Governor Harris Ongchuan declared the suspension of classes provincewide tomorrow, February 10, 2026.

The order was made based on the recommendation of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) following PAG-ASA's forecast of yellow rainfall warning in the province which will continue tomorrow.
