The Naval Reserve Command (NRC), also known as NAVRESCOM or RESCOM, (Filipino: Pangasiwaan ng Panlaang Kawal ng Hukbong Pandagat) is one of the Philippine Navy's Major Support Commands created for the sole purpose of reserve force management, procurement, and organization.

๐™Š๐™‰ ๐˜ฟ๐™๐™๐™” || The 123rd Naval Service Support Squadron Reserve actively participated in the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program in support of the AFP Reserve Force Strategy 2023โ€“2028, aimed at enhancing reservistsโ€™ capability in guard and sentinel duties within the Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui (NSLG).

This concept by the NRcen Northern Luzon (NRCen-NL) is anchored on Republic Act No, 7077 (Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act) through practical exposure and hands-on experience of reservists with their active counterparts.
Participating reservists were provided opportunities to further develop their skills and understanding of military procedures, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Reserve Force as reliable force multipliers.

Notably, the conduct of the program coincided with the implementation of Exercise Balikatan, allowing reservists to witness and appreciate large-scale military interoperability, operational coordination, and joint training activities within the operational environment.

The participation of the 123rd NSSSR underscores its continuing commitment in sustaining a professional, mission-ready, and capable Naval Reserve Force.

The activity aimed to augment local authorities in ensuring the safety, security, and orderly conduct of activities within the area of responsibility. Deployed personnel provided assistance in maintaining public order, supporting crowd management, and reinforcing the overall security framework in coordination with other agencies.

๐˜พ๐™Š๐™ˆ๐™ˆ๐˜ผ๐™‰๐˜ฟ๐™€๐™โ€™๐™Ž ๐™‘๐™„๐™Ž๐™„๐™ || The Naval Reserve Center - Northern Luzon under CAPT GLYN PAHILANGA PN(GSC) conducted a Commanderโ€™s Visit to the 123rd Naval Service Support Squadron Reserve (123rd NSSSR) and the 12th Marine Brigade Reserve (12th MBdeR) on 12 APRIL 2026 at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui, San Antonio, Zambales.

The activity was highlighted by the arrival of CAPT GLYN PAHILANGA PN(GSC), followed by an invocation and welcome remarks prior to the conduct of the Commanderโ€™s Call.

During the engagement, key directives and guidance were imparted focusing on the strategic objectives of the Commander of NRCen-NL, particularly on strengthening coordination with partner units, enhancing reservist training programs, and improving administrative and logistical support for reserve personnel.

Discussions likewise emphasized the importance of capability development, to include participation in various trainings, structured on-the-job training opportunities, and initiatives geared towards improving operational readiness and responsiveness of reservists. Matters concerning personnel welfare, recognition, and career progression were also highlighted, including promotion opportunities, and commendations for exemplary service.

Furthermore, units were encouraged to maintain regular assembly and accountability, remain responsive to augmentation requirements in support of national and local operations, and actively participate in upcoming activities and exercises.

The activity concluded on reinforcing the commitment of the 123rd NSSSR and 12th MBdeR in sustaining a disciplined, mission-ready, and capable Naval Reserve Force in support of the Philippine Navy and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
