π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Personnel of CGS La Union and Coast Guard Clearing Outpost San Fernando together with students of Saint Louis College conducted a Monday Morning Colors on 05 October 2026.

The activity brought to observe the traditional raising of the Philippine flag and reaffirm commitment to discipline, unity and service.

The Monday Morning Colors also served as an opportunity for personnel to begin the week with a renewed sense of duty and dedication to their respective responsibilities.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Coast Guard Station La Union, together with its Sub-Stations and Coast Guard Clearing Outposts in San Fernando and Bauang, illuminated their respective premises in blue on 24 September 2026 in support of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) β€œLight the World in Blue” Initiative, in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs – Maritime and Ocean Affairs Office, and in observance of National Maritime Week 2026.

The initiative highlights the importance of the maritime sector and reinforces collective commitment to a safer, more secure, and sustainable maritime domain.

π™‡π™Šπ™Šπ™†: On 24 September 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Clearing Outpost San Fernando, together with the Maritime Safety and Security Unit- Northwestern Luzon (MSSU-NWLZN) conducted a Recreational Safety Enforcement Inspection (RSEI) at Bersantai Beach Resort Brgy. San Francisco and Cordilleran Beach Resort Brgy. Pagudpud, San Fernando City, La Union.

The activity focused on assessing compliance with recreational and water safety requirements and reminding resort operators to continuously implement appropriate safety measures for the protection of beachgoers.

The Philippine Coast Guard remains committed to promoting safe and secure recreational activities within its Area of Responsibility (AOR).

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Strengthening its commitment to marine environmental protection, the Philippine Coast Guard, through Coast Guard Clearing Outpost Bauang together with Marine Environmental Protection Unit – Northwestern Luzon (MEPU-NWLZN) and Marine Science Forensic Investigation Unit (MSFIU- NWLZN) conducted a joint water quality monitoring activity at 1590 Energy Corp., Brgy Payocpoc, Bauang, La Union on 24 September 2026.

The activity assessed water quality and supported compliance with environmental and safety standards under the Philippine Coast Guard’s iCARE Program.

Water samples and monitoring parameters were properly documented and endorsed to MEPU-NWLZN for recording and laboratory processing.

The PCG remains steadfast in carrying out its mandate to protect the marine environment and ensure the sustainable use of the country’s coastal and marine resources.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Today, 24 September 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Station La Union and Coast Guard Clearing Outpost San Fernando led by the Station Commander LTJG JEPTY E UBALDO PCG, conducted a seaborne patrol operations in the vicinity waters off San Fernando City and Bauang, La Union to strengthen maritime security and law enforcement within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The patrol covered approximately 20 nautical miles with 2 hours and 30 minutes of steaming time, with no illegal maritime activities observed.

The operation underscores the Philippine Coast Guard’s commitment to maintaining maritime security and ensuring safe and lawful activities at sea.
