𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄-𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏

In line with the directives and priorities of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to strengthen employment facilitation and bring government services closer to jobseekers, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 1 (DOLE RO1) convened the 3rd Quarter PESO Federation Meeting on September 16, 2026, at EM Royalle Hotel and Beach Resort in San Juan, La Union.

The meeting was attended by DOLE and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) partners to discuss updates, accomplishments, and concerns in the implementation of employment facilitation programs and services across the region.

Among the matters discussed were updates from the National PESO Congress, PESO programs and initiatives, and third-quarter accomplishments. Participants also shared updates and concerns from their respective areas to strengthen coordination and address implementation concerns.

DOLE RO1 Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga highlighted that the meeting served as a venue to align efforts and strengthen collaboration between DOLE and PESOs in providing responsive and accessible employment services to jobseekers and employers.

Through sustained coordination and partnership, DOLE RO1 and its PESO partners continue to work toward more effective employment facilitation across Region 1.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚, 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏

In line with the directives and priorities of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to strengthen employment facilitation services, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 1 (DOLE RO1) conducted the 2026 Regional National Skills Registration Program (NSRP) and Labor Market Information (LMI) Assessment on September 15, 2026, at EM Royalle Hotel and Beach Resort, San Juan, La Union.

The activity served as a venue to consolidate and validate the results of the NSRP and LMI assessments conducted by the DOLE Field Offices in August, providing a regional view of their implementation and performance.
Field Office focal persons presented their respective assessment results, including accomplishments, issues and concerns, strengths, and good practices. Regional accomplishments and performance status on NSRP and LMI were also presented and discussed.

Updates on the Integrated PESO Employment Information System (PEIS) and PhilJobNet were likewise shared, highlighting the importance of accurate and updated labor market data in employment facilitation.

The assessment also identified areas for strategic interventions and technical assistance to further strengthen the implementation, utilization, and sustainability of NSRP and LMI across the region.

DOLE RO1 Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga emphasized the importance of the assessment in strengthening employment facilitation and ensuring that services remain responsive to the needs of jobseekers and employers.

The activity concluded with feedback, directives, and ways forward to guide the Field Offices and their PESO partners in further improving employment facilitation services in Region 1.

Sa SPES, nabibigyan ang mga kabataan ng pagkakataong makapagtrabaho habang kumikita at nagkakaroon ng aktuwal na karanasan sa trabaho.
