Barangay Abut Christmas Tree and Lantern Display Competition

As the festive season approaches, Barangay Abut is excited to bring our community together for a special holiday tradition – the Christmas Tree and Lantern Display Competition! This year, we're inviting residents of all ages to showcase their creativity, craftsmanship, and love for the environment through beautiful, handmade parols made entirely from recycled materials.

Guidelines and Mechanics:

📌 The competition is open to any individual of all ages and must be resident of Barangay ABUT.
📌 The parol should be safe and durable.
📌Materials to be used in the PAROLE must come from 100% recycled materials ONLY.
📌Minimum Size: 2 feet
📌Submit five (5) photo documentations showing your parol before, during, and after the making process. UPLOAD and TAG in this Page [ Sangguniang Kabataan - Barangay Abut ]
📌The entry must be displayed and submitted for judging on or before December 22, 2025.
📌Registration starts today December 13, 2025 by contacting your PUROK LEADER.

Criteria for Judging:

♦️Creativity & Originality (50%)

● Uniqueness of concept, innovative use of recyclable materials, and overall artistic design.

♦️Craftsmanship (40%)

● Quality of construction, neatness, sturdiness, and attention to detail.

♦️Dimension & Design (10%)

● The parol may be in any shape but must meet the minimum size of 2 feet.
