“Deserve nila (Child in Conflict with the Law (CICL)) iyong tinatawag nating second chance na makapagbago. Sabihin man nila na nakagawa iyan ng masama, tao pa rin iyan, may tendency na magbago – na maitama iyong pagkakamali niya. Huwag nating i-judge na wala na silang pagbabago, na wala nang mangyayari sa buhay nila. Huwag nating tutuldukan iyong kwento ng buhay nila kasi tulad ko, natuto ako sa mga nangyari sa buhay ko,” iyan ang salaysay ni Social Welfare Officer I Daniel Patoc na isa nang Angels in Red Vest ng DSWD Field Office 1 - Ilocos Region (DSWD FO 1).
Halos pitong taon siyang namalagi sa DSWD FO 1 Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) dahil sa isang pagkakasala noong siya ay 17 taong gulang.
Ayon kay Daniel, hindi naging madali ang kanyang pagbabago. Noong tuluyan na niyang natanggap sa sarili ang nagawang pagkakamali, sinimulan niyang pagbutihin ang kanyang mga gawi at isuko sa Panginoon ang kanyang sarili.

On 22 June 2026, the RJJWC 1 hosted TUNGTUNGAN 3.0, a Virtual Dialogue among the Pillars of Juvenile Justice. During the event, sector representatives exchanged thoughts, experiences, and ideas on the current implementation of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act (JJWA).
To strengthen coordination, collaboration, and convergence among the various pillars, the Body identified priority action points and proposed measures to address existing gaps and challenges.
The outcomes of TUNGTUNGAN 3.0 will serve as the basis for RJJWC 1 in developing appropriate measures to strengthen the implementation of the law in Region 1.

This June, the Philippines marks Judiciary Month, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Supreme Court.
Declared under Presidential Proclamation No. 1265, s. 2026, the observance calls on government agencies, local government units, the private sector, and civil society to support and partake in the commemoration.
Established on June 11, 1901 through Act No. 136 of the Philippine Commission, the Supreme Court has stood as a pillar of justice—first led by Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano.
In line with this milestone year, the Court unveils a series of activities under the theme: “SC: 125 Years of Tradition and Innovation.”
