As part of the continuing celebration of the Road to 50 Years of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board Region-I (RTWPB-I), represented by Dino S. Dizon, Labor and Employment Officer II, attended the awarding ceremony of the โฑ400,000.00 Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pag-unlad ng Samahang OFWs (PUSO) grant to the Maipit OFW Members Association (MOMA).
The grant received by the members of MOMA was the first tranche of financial assistance under the Tulong PUSO Program of OWWA. The assistance will serve as additional funding for the Micro Gasoline Station established by the group last 2025 as a community-based enterprise that aims to provide additional income generating project to the returned OFWs and their Family members.
Mr. Dizon serves a member of Regional Review Committee for the Tulong PUSO Program, together with DTI-La Union Provincial Director Victoria A. Ordoรฑo; Owner of Maxima Technical & Skills Training Institute, Inc. And Model OFW Regional Winner, Engr. Rusell Vilmer C. Tandoc; DWM โRegion 1 Asst. Regional Diretor Romeo A. Jaramilla; OWWA RWO-1 Regional Director Marivic L. Mondia; and OWWA RWO-1 OIC-Chief, Programs and Services Division (PSD), Marissa C. Naboye.

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity BoardโI (RTWPB-I) successfully conducted the โGreen Productivityโ Training Series in Ilocos Norte in last 14-16 and 21-23 April 2026, benefiting a total of 176 MSMEs.
Conducted across various municipalities, the training series reached entrepreneurs in Pagudpud, Bangui, Burgos, Bacarra, Pasuquin, Vintar, Sarrat, Piddig, Laoag City, San Nicolas, Solsona, Dingras, Marcos, Banna, Nueva Era, Batac, Paoay, Currimao, Pinili, and Badoc. Sessions were held in both morning and afternoon batches to maximize participation and accessibility for MSMEs throughout the province.
Serving as the Resource Speaker, Ms. Virginia Imelda M. Salvador, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer of RTWPB- I delivered comprehensive discussions on Green Productivity, a strategy that integrates productivity improvement with environmental protection to support sustainable enterprise development. The training highlighted how businesses can simultaneously enhance operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
Through these sessions, RTWPB-I equipped MSMEs with actionable tools to adopt greener practices, improve resource efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall business competitiveness.
The training was also facilitated by Kathleen Agnes M. Mallare, Information Technology Officer I, and Paul John G. Cariรฑo, Admin Assistant I, with support from DTI Ilocos Norte through its Negosyo Centers, whose efforts were instrumental in the successful conduct of the activity.
Through this initiative, RTWPB-I continues to empower MSMEs to adopt sustainable practices and enhance their productivity and competitiveness in driving a greener, more resilient, and future-ready business sector in Region I.
