The Environmental Management Bureau Region III (EMB-R3), in partnership with the City Government of San Jose del Monte, brought environmental permitting services closer to communities through the sixth leg of the DENR Express: Permitting on Wheels, held on September 23β24, 2026.
The two-day activity served more than a hundred clients from the city and neighboring areas, providing assistance on environmental permit applications, online account creation, and regulatory requirements.
EMB-R3 Regional Director Martin Jose V. Despi emphasized the importance of bringing government services closer to communities, particularly amid challenges such as rising fuel costs.
The activity also featured a discussion on Republic Act No. 9003, or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, highlighting the shared responsibility of local government units, industries, communities, and other stakeholders in proper waste management and environmental protection.
The successful activity reflects the Bureauβs continuing commitment to delivering accessible, responsive, and people-centered environmental services while promoting environmental compliance and sustainable development.
