📚🏫 NATIONAL SCHOOL SAFETY WEEK | KICK-OFF PROGRAM

Bilang Committee Co-Chair on Women and VAWC Desk Officer ng Barangay San Agustin, ako po ay nakiisa sa Flag-Raising Ceremony at Pledge of Commitment Signing bilang bahagi ng Kick-Off Program ng National School Safety Week.

Ang pakikilahok na ito ay pagpapakita ng ating buong suporta at pakikiisa sa pagsusulong ng ligtas, maayos, at child-friendly na kapaligiran sa ating mga paaralan. Bilang mga lingkod-bayan, mahalagang pagtibayin natin ang ating pangako na pangalagaan ang kaligtasan, karapatan, at kapakanan ng bawat bata, gayundin ang pagprotekta sa kanila laban sa anumang uri ng karahasan, pang-aabuso, at diskriminasyon.

🤝 Ang kaligtasan ng mga bata ay hindi lamang responsibilidad ng paaralan, kundi tungkulin nating lahat—mga magulang, g**o, barangay officials, at buong komunidad.

Sama-sama nating isulong ang isang ligtas, mapayapa, at mapagkalingang kapaligiran kung saan ang bawat bata ay malayang matuto, umunlad, at mangarap.

Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the Distribution of Financial Assistance for Women in Difficult Circumstances (Registered Solo Parents) held on September 19, 2026.

This meaningful activity was organized by the Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, headed by the VAWC Desk Officer, together with the VAWC Desk Alternate, in support of women and solo parents who are facing financial challenges and difficult circumstances.

Most especially, we thank all the registered solo parent beneficiaries for their participation and for allowing us to be part of your journey. May this assistance provide even a small measure of relief and encouragement as you continue to care for your families and overcome life's challenges.

This activity reminds us that through compassion, cooperation, and responsive service, we can strengthen our support for women and families in our community.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat!
Together, let us continue promoting women's empowerment, dignity, protection, and equal opportunities for all.

Parent Effectiveness Seminar | September 17–18, 2026

The Barangay San Agustin extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the Parent Effectiveness Seminar (PES) held on September 17–18, 2026 at the Barangay Hall a meaningful and successful activity.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for organizing and facilitating this important seminar in partnership with Barangay San Agustin, particularly the Committee on Women, Children, Family Affairs and Social Services and the Committee on Gender and Development (GAD).

We would also like to express our deepest thanks to all our resource speakers for generously sharing their knowledge, experiences, and valuable insights on effective parenting, positive discipline, family relationships, child protection, and responsible parenthood. Your time and dedication have greatly contributed to the learning and empowerment of our parents.

To all the parents and participants who actively attended, listened, shared their experiences, and participated in the discussions—maraming salamat po! Your commitment to becoming more effective, responsible, and caring parents is an important step toward building stronger and healthier families.

May the lessons and values gained from this seminar continue to guide us in raising children with love, respect, understanding, discipline, and compassion.

Once again, thank you to the CSWDO, our resource speakers, facilitators, barangay officials, organizers, and all participants for making this activity a success.

Successful ERPat Training – September 18, 2026

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of our ERPat (Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities) Training held on September 18, 2026 at the Barangay Hall.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all the fathers and couples who actively participated in this meaningful activity. Your time, openness, and willingness to learn and strengthen your roles as fathers and partners are truly commendable.

We extend our special thanks to our resource speaker, Pastor John Martinez, for sharing his valuable knowledge, experiences, and inspiring messages about responsible fatherhood, strong family relationships, and the important role of fathers in building a safe, loving, and supportive family.

We also acknowledge the support and efforts of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Affairs and Social Services, together with the Committee on Gender and Development (GAD), for organizing and facilitating this important program.

TAOS-PUSONG PASASALAMAT

Sa ngalan ng Pamahalaang Barangay ng San Agustin, taos-puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng matagumpay na pagdaraos ng Ms. Teen Gay San Agustin 2026 na ginanap noong Hunyo 26, 2026 sa San Agustin Poro Covered Court.

Una sa lahat, lubos po ang aming pasasalamat sa ating mga hurado na naglaan ng kanilang oras, kaalaman, at patas na paghusga upang maging matagumpay ang patimpalak.

Maraming salamat din sa ating mga sponsors at donors na walang sawang sumuporta at nagbigay ng tulong upang maisakatuparan ang programang ito. Ang inyong kabutihang-loob ay malaking bahagi ng tagumpay ng ating pagdiriwang.

Lubos din naming pinasasalamatan si Punong Barangay Gerry B. Galvez, SBM Janice F. Jarquio (Gender and Development Focal Person),ang buong Sangguniang Barangay, mga opisyal ng SK, mga komite, mga boluntaryo, at lahat ng mga taong naglaan ng kanilang panahon at pagsisikap upang maging maayos at matagumpay ang ating programa.

Sa ating mga panauhin, bisita, mga pamilya, tagasuporta, at mga residente ng Barangay San Agustin, maraming salamat po sa inyong pagdalo at patuloy na pagsuporta sa ating mga gawain.

Higit sa lahat, binabati namin ang lahat ng mga kalahok sa Ms. Teen Gay San Agustin 2026. Kayo ay naging inspirasyon sa pagpapakita ng tiwala sa sarili, talento, kagandahan, at tapang. QUARTERLY MEETING OF THE FEDERATION OF VAWC DESK OFFICERS

The Federation of VAWC (Violence Against Women and Their Children) Desk Officers of the City of San Fernando, La Union successfully conducted its Quarterly Meeting on June 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM held at the City GAD Office.

The meeting served as a venue for discussing updates, programs, accomplishments, challenges, and strategies in strengthening the implementation of laws and services that protect women and children from violence and abuse. It also provided an opportunity for collaboration, sharing of best practices, and enhancing the capacity of VAWC Desk Officers in delivering responsive and gender-sensitive services to their respective communities.

Together, we remain committed to promoting safe, empowered, and violence-free communities for all.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the residents of Purok 2B who attended our Purok Meeting today, June 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

Your presence, active participation, and valuable suggestions greatly contributed to the success of our meeting. Your continued support and cooperation help strengthen our community and ensure that the needs and concerns of our purok are properly addressed.

VAWC desk officer SBM Janice Jarquio shared informational talks regarding RA 9262 anti violence against women and their children and RA 11313 safe spaces, and RA 7610 anti child abuse .

Together, let us continue working hand in hand toward a more united, peaceful, and progressive Purok 2B.
