𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒, 𝐑𝐄𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒

At TESDA La Union, we believe that every person deserves an opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future.

24 inpatient participants of the TRC-La Union Vocational and Livelihood Training (VLT) “Kayak” Training Series who successfully completed their training and earned their TESDA Carpentry National Certificate (NC) II—achieving an outstanding 100% passing rate!

Implemented by the Ilocos Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) through the 2026 Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), the training provided our scholars not only with technical skills, but also with an opportunity to rediscover their potential and prepare for life beyond the training center.

Held at the DOH TRC-La Union Covered Court, the graduation was more than a ceremony. It was a celebration of second chances, determination, and new beginnings.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 136 by the Office of the President, work in the TESDA La Union Provincial Office shall be suspended on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲), 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧.

This is due to Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992), which declared the last week of September every year as Family Week, and Proclamation No. 326 (s. 2012), which declared the fourth Monday of September of every year as “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day.

Regular operations will resume on the next day, September 29, 2026

On September 21, 2026, the TESDA La Union Provincial Office conducted the Training Induction Program (TIP) for scholars enrolled at 𝐋𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 – Bauang, La Union under the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭 (𝐔𝐀𝐐𝐓𝐄𝐀) 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬.

Under the STEP Scholarship Program, the TIP was conducted for the following qualifications:

Bread and Pastry Production NC II Batch 3 – 25 scholars
Bread and Pastry Production NC II Batch 4 – 25 scholars
Cookery NC II – 22 scholars

𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨:
✅ Free training
✅ Free National Competency Assessment
✅ **₱160 daily training allowance**
✅ Starter toolkits to support their skills training

Meanwhile, the following scholars are enrolled under the UAQTEA Scholarship Program:

PQF Level 5 Diploma in Automotive Technology 1Y1S – 25 scholars
PQF Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology 1Y1S– 25 scholars

𝐔𝐀𝐐𝐓𝐄𝐀 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞:
✅ Free training
✅ Free National Competency Assessment
✅ ₱100 daily training allowance
✅ One-year accident insurance coverage
✅ ₱500 uniform allowance*
✅ ₱500 instructional materials allowance

During the orientation, scholars were oriented on the training programs, scholarship benefits, responsibilities, guidelines, and expectations to help them make the most of their training journey.

With these scholarship opportunities, TESDA continues to make technical-vocational education and training more accessible, helping individuals gain relevant skills and qualifications for employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.

On 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀 𝐋𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 joined 𝐒𝐌 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐩 held at 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐋𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧, as part of the collective effort to promote environmental responsibility and protect our coastal communities.

Through this activity, TESDA La Union personnel came together with partner organizations and community volunteers to help keep our shores clean, promote proper waste management, and contribute to the preservation of our marine ecosystem.

Beyond cleaning our coastlines, the activity reminds us that every small act of service matters. When we work together, our simple efforts can create a lasting impact toward cleaner communities and a healthier environment.

Bilang bahagi ng programang “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat,” nakiisa ang TESDA La Union Provincial Office sa paghahatid ng mga programa at serbisyo sa mga Ka-Elyucano ngayong Setyembre 14, 2026, sa Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, Lungsod ng San Fernando, La Union.

Sa pangunguna ni Provincial Director Larry F. Dizon, Sr., CSEE, naging bahagi ang TESDA La Union sa paghahatid ng skills development opportunities sa mga mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang serbisyo at programa ng ahensya.

Isa sa mga tampok na serbisyo ng TESDA sa naturang aktibidad ang pagkakaloob ng 140 Scholarship Grant Certificates sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo, na magbibigay sa kanila ng pagkakataong makilahok sa mga libreng technical-vocational training programs at mapaunlad ang kanilang mga kasanayan para sa trabaho at kabuhayan.

Naghatid din ang TESDA La Union ng impormasyon at assistance hinggil sa TVET programs, scholarship opportunities, skills training and assessment, employment, livelihood, at iba pang programa at serbisyo ng ahensya.

Patuloy ang TESDA La Union sa pagdadala ng kasanayan, oportunidad, at serbisyo na mas malapit sa ating mga kababayan.
