May 24, 2026 | Municipal Mayor Grace Carmel D. Paredes-Bravo proudly delivered her message as one of the guest speakers during the Oath-Taking Ceremonies of 1,559 Public School Heads and Teachers from the Caraga Region, promoted under the Expanded Career Progression (ECP) Program. The event was held at the Agusan Valley Convention Center, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

This milestone gathering was graced by distinguished leaders, including Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., Department of Education Secretary Sonny M. Angara, Provincial Governor Santiago B. Cane, Jr., and Provincial Vice Governor Patricia Anne B. Plaza, a testament to the collective commitment toward advancing education and empowering educators in the region.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Francisco actively participated in the 2nd Province-Wide Cleanup Drive today, May 16, 2026.

The initiative follows the call of Governor Santiago B. Cane, Jr. to intensify preparations for the coming Palarong Pambansa 2026.
LGU employees joined forces with personnel from various national agencies and partner organizations. This collaborative mobilization saw dedicated personnel deployed across the municipalityโ€™s key areas and streets.

The primary goal of the drive was to ensure that San Francisco remains pristine and welcoming, reflecting the town's readiness to host athletes, officials, and guests from all over the Philippines.
