02 October 2026 | Road Clearing Validation and Assessment

San Jorge Fire Station personnel, headed by SFO3 Niño C Ciego, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, together with the Composite Validation and Assessment Task Team (CVATT) headed by OIC-MLGOO Mary Angel O. Alcala, and representatives from the San Jorge Municipal Police Station (MPS), San Jorge Municipal Traffic Enforcement Management Unit, Municipal Engineering Office, and Civil Society Organization (CSO), conducted a road clearing validation and assessment with in the AOR (Area of Responsibility ).

The activity aimed to evaluate the road clearing efforts and assess the compliance of barangays with the prescribed road clearing guidelines, particularly in ensuring that roads remain accessible, safe, and free from obstructions that may hinder the movement of motorists, pedestrians, and emergency response vehicles.

At around 0726H on 02 October 2026, a telephone call was received from FO2Martine E Fuentespina, Shift B personnel, reporting an ongoing fire incident at Barangay Anquiana, San Jorge, Samar.

The duty personnel, headed by SFO3 Niño C Ciego, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, immediately responded to the fire call at 0727H. The fire scene was approximately 3 kilometers from the fire station, and the responding team arrived at 0731H.

Upon arrival, SFO1 Alex C Timan, Deputy Municipal Fire Marshal, declared First Alarm status. The responding team immediately conducted firefighting operations for approximately two (2) minutes, successfully bringing the fire under control and ensuring that it was completely extinguished and preventing possible re-ignition.

At 0734H, SFO1 Alex C Timan, Deputy Municipal Fire Marshal, officially declared the fire OUT. No casualties or injuries were reported.
