Theme (2024–2026): Changing the Narrative on Su***de

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), su***de remains a major public health challenge, claiming the lives of over 720,000 people every year. Each life lost has profound emotional, social, and economic consequences — impacting families, friends, workplaces, and entire communities.

The triennial theme (2024–2026), “Changing the Narrative on Su***de,” calls on all of us to:

🎯 Challenge harmful myths and misconceptions
🎯 Reduce stigma around mental health and su***de
🎯 Promote open, compassionate conversations
🎯 Encourage individuals to seek help without fear or shame

This is a call to move from silence and misunderstanding toward empathy, connection, and support — creating environments where people feel safe to speak up and reach out.

Historic Milestone: CDSGA Launches the First Doctor of Psychology Program in the Philippines!

A historic achievement has been made at Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel (CDSGA)!

CDSGA proudly marks another milestone as the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) officially grants Government Recognition to its newest doctoral programs, effective Academic Year 2025–2026.

Officially Recognized Graduate Programs:

🎯Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)-Professional Track
The FIRST Doctor of Psychology program in the Philippines!

This pioneering program sets a new benchmark for advanced professional training, preparing students for evidence-based practice through intensive coursework in psychological assessment, counseling, mental health intervention, and program development.

🎯Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (PhDPsy)- Academic Track
Focused on research and academic leadership, this program complements CDSGA’s commitment to excellence in psychological education.

This recognition stands as a testament to the visionary leadership of Dr. Gabriel G. Uriarte, President, and the collective dedication of CDSGA’s officials, faculty, program chairs, the Center for Quality Assurance and Standards, and support staff whose commitment ensured full CHED compliance.
