The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) proudly shares another meaningful milestone in its continuing journey of public service and environmental stewardship.

For the fourth time, the City Government of San Jose del Monte, through CENRO, has been recognized in the prestigious 2026 Search for Gawad Lingkod Bayani. This year, we take pride in the nomination of two of our dedicated units — the CENRO Enforcement Team and the CENRO Recycling Team — whose commitment and hard work continue to create meaningful impact in the community and the environment.

These nominations reflect the unwavering dedication of our personnel in promoting environmental protection, responsible governance, sustainable practices, and active community participation. The Urban Biodiversity Assessment was conducted by the technical staff of Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Tabang, led by Forester Roberto Vidal, to assess urban ecosystems and document existing flora and fauna within the area.

The activity aims to strengthen biodiversity conservation efforts, enhance urban green spaces, and support sustainable environmental planning toward healthier and more resilient communities.

This initiative highlights the importance of collaborative efforts among government agencies, local stakeholders, and the community in protecting and preserving our natural environment for future generations.
