As part of its continuing efforts to promote grassroots enterprise development and strengthen community empowerment, DTI Bulacan, through Negosyo Center Bulacan: City of San Jose del Monte โ LGU, collaborated with the City of San Jose Del Monte Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in conducting a Community-Based Training (CBT) on May 26, 2026, in Brgy. Graceville, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
The initiative aimed to equip residents with practical livelihood skills while encouraging entrepreneurship as a means of achieving sustainable income and economic resilience.
The training featured a hands-on workshop on candy and pastry production, facilitated by Ms. Arciel Perez of PESO CSJDM. Participants actively learned the preparation and production of various food products, including sugar-glazed donuts, caramel bars, and special butchi. Through the practical session, attendees gained accessible and marketable skills that may be utilized for small-scale livelihood and income-generating opportunities.
To further complement the technical training, an Entrepreneurship Development Seminar (EDS) was conducted by Negosyo Center Business Counsellor Ms. Jelly Magno. During the session, participants were encouraged to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and explore business opportunities that can support long-term financial stability. Ms. Magno highlighted the importance of goal setting, innovation, adaptability, and perseverance in establishing and sustaining small enterprises, emphasizing that even modest beginnings can lead to meaningful growth and success.
A total of twenty-five (25) participants successfully completed the training, gaining not only practical knowledge and enhanced skills but also inspiration to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors that can improve their quality of life and economic well-being.
Through initiatives like this, DTI Bulacan, Negosyo Center CSJDM, and PESO CSJDM continue to champion inclusive community development by providing accessible skills training, promoting entrepreneurship, and empowering individuals toward sustainable livelihood opportunities.
