City of San Jose del Monte - City Cooperative Development Office/LEDIPO

The City Cooperative Development Council of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, consistently holds its Regular Monthly Meeting every second Friday of the month.

The Office met with the city’s Market Cooperatives on February 19, 2026 to discuss a potential collaboration with the Taloy Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative’s Agri-Food and Processing Hub.

The Office provided comprehensive technical assistance to both aspiring and registered cooperatives, guiding them through the complexities of organizational establishment and sustainable growth.

By offering expert mentorship on regulatory requirements and operational scaling, we empowered new groups to formalize their structures while helping established cooperatives enhance their efficiency and compliance.

In the spirit of bringing government services directly to the people, our Office partnered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region III Extension Office to host the 2026 Cooperative Caravan in the City of San Jose del Monte.

Held on March 25, 2026, at the New Government Center’s SP Public Hearing Rooms, the event drew representatives from 30 cooperatives. The caravan offered essential frontline services and technical guidance, specifically designed to boost the operational capacity and regulatory compliance of our city’s cooperatives.

In observance of Global Money Week (GMW), the Office conducted a Seminar on Financial Literacy for Students on March 19, 2026, at the City College of San Jose del Monte, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

The activity was attended by more than 70 Senior High School students of the City College, reflecting strong interest and engagement in financial education. The seminar aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of basic financial management, savings, budgeting, and the responsible use of money.

The Office extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Roger Ambida for allowing the use of the school’s hall and for facilitating the participation of students. Appreciation is also extended to Bulacan State University – Malolos Campus for providing competent resource speakers from the College of Business Administration, headed by Dr. Jojo Magdaraog, whose expertise significantly contributed to the success of the activity.

The Seminar on Internal Control, including Inventory Systems, was successfully conducted by the Office on March 17, 2026, at the Activity Center, Productivity Complex, Brgy. Sapang Palay Proper, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

The activity was attended by more than 50 representatives from 21 cooperatives in the city. The seminar provided valuable insights on establishing effective control systems to promote accountability, safeguard assets, and enhance operational efficiency.

The Seminar on Gender and Development, specifically on Gender-Responsive Cooperative Program/Project Development, was successfully conducted on March 6, 2026, at the Activity Center, Productivity Complex, Brgy. Sapang Palay Proper, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

The activity was attended by 54 representatives from 29 cooperatives in the city, demonstrating strong participation and commitment to integrating gender-responsive approaches in cooperative programs and projects. The seminar provided valuable insights on promoting inclusivity, equality, and sustainability in cooperative development initiatives.

The Office extends its sincere appreciation to the GERC speaker, Mr. Raymond Cardenas, Chief Operating Officer of St. Martin of Tours Development Cooperative, for sharing his expertise and insights.

The Orientation on the Preparation and Online Submission of Mandatory Requirements for the Issuance of the CDA Certificate of Compliance was successfully conducted on February 27, 2026, at the Activity Center, Productivity Complex, Brgy. Sapang Palay Proper, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

The activity was attended by representatives from 41 cooperatives in the city, demonstrating strong participation and a proactive commitment to ensuring timely compliance with regulatory requirements. The orientation provided participants with practical guidance on the proper preparation and online submission of mandatory documents, thereby enhancing their capability to efficiently meet the prescribed standards.

The office successfully conducted an in-house Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) in January for the Sapang Palay Multipurpose Cooperative, aimed at equipping prospective members with essential knowledge on cooperative principles, roles and responsibilities, and the benefits of membership.

The PMES is one of the core services delivered by the office under its Technical Development Program, designed to strengthen the organizational capacity of cooperatives and promote informed, responsible, and active membership.
