Kiddie Tale Tellers Contest 2024

In celebration of the 34th Library & Information Services Month and the 90th National Book Week with the theme, “Magbasa. Mangarap. Magdiwang.” the City Library will be conducting a Kiddie Tale Tellers Contest. This aims to provide an opportunity for children to develop a love for books and reading, build up confidence and hone presentation skills.

In celebration of the 34th Library & Information Services Month and the 90th National Book Week with the theme, “Magbasa. Mangarap. Magdiwang.” the City Library will be conducting a Book Character Parade Contest. This is to showcase the characters lifted from a storybook while having fun and being creative. It is also an avenue to promote the love for reading and show the community our desire to conduct an enjoyable “dress up” contest.

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES:
1. The contest is open to Public Daycare Learners of San Jose City.
2. Each entry shall be a representation of any character based from a Storybook.
3. Participants are encouraged to use recyclable materials or materials that are available at home (i.e curtains, bed sheets, towels, old newspaper, plastic bottle, old sacks etc.)
4. All participants should bring the book or the reference of their character/costume.
5. Participants will present and model their costume on November 25, 8 A.M. at Learning and Development Room, City Hall Compound, San Jose City.
6. Registration is available on this link https://forms.gle/H4f6JXTVfRK1PgQj6 and will accept 1 entry per child development center only.
7. The first twenty-five (25) to register will be the official participants of the contest.
8. Winners will be determined based on the combined percentage of the judge’s votes.
9. Announcement of winners will be on the same day right after the competition.
