Habang abala ang lahat sa pagpapanotaryo ng pangalan ni Sharmaine (Orange), matagal nang nagsasagawa ang BPI-Baguio NCRDPSC ng pananaliksik, nagde-develop, nagko-konserba, at pagpapaunlad ng iba't ibang citrus varieties na opisyal nang nairehistro sa National Seed Industry Council (NSIC).

The Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro, through the Office of the Provincial Administrator and the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO), in partnership with Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC), conducted the “𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞ñ𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞ñ𝐨” on May 26–28, 2026 in the municipalities of Lubang and Looc, Occidental Mindoro. The activity formed part of the 2nd Year implementation of the Fight for OKSI Project, which aims to strengthen local enterprises through innovation, skills development, and value-adding initiatives.

Mr. Arvin Jonathan L. Flores and Ms. Joszel M. Cajayon served as resource persons and shared their expertise in meat and fish processing technologies, product development, and enterprise innovation. Through the training, participants enhanced their technical competencies and gained practical knowledge to improve the competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability of their businesses.

The BS in Information Technology Department conducted the 2-day program titled “𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝟒.𝟎: 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦” in partnership with the Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office and the 1st Occidental Mindoro Provincial Mobile Force Company (OMPMFC) on May 21–22, 2026 at Computer Laboratories 2 and 3 of OMSC San Jose Campus. The program strengthened the digital competencies of administrative staff and Police Non-Commissioned Officers through hands-on training in office applications, digital communication, records management, and cyber security awareness.

Mr. Ariel R. Manuel led the activity and guided the participants through practical technology-based administrative practices. The training gathered 74 personnel from the 1st and 2nd OMPMFC, 68th IB Philippine Army, RMFB, PNP-SAF, and BJMP. The initiative enhanced workforce readiness, improved operational efficiency, and supported digital transformation in public sector services.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 – 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀 (𝐀𝐓𝐈-𝐑𝐓𝐂 𝐌𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀) conducted the 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑭𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑬𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑨𝑭𝑬) 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑 on May 21–22, 2026 through an online platform. The activity gathered key stakeholders and extension practitioners in the MIMAROPA Region to strengthen the country’s agricultural extension system through the formulation and enhancement of the AFE Plans and Budget Proposals (PBPs) for Fiscal Year 2028.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐬 (𝐓𝐓𝐰𝐓) 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐮𝐦 conducted a consultation meeting with Occidental Mindoro State College to discuss possible collaborations for future research, extension, and community development initiatives.

The meeting was led by Dr. Ronaldo G. Orpiano, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, Ms. Mary Yole Apple Declaro-Ruedas, Director for Extension and Technical Advisory Services, together with Pauline Angela S. Maglipon, Research Coordinator of D'Aboville Foundation, Karla S. Mangundayao, Policy Coordinator of MBCFI-TTwT, Sio-Ann S. Tapil, Capacity Development Coordinator of MBCFI-TTwT, Josiemay Salamanca of DENR-TCP, and Ms. Stiffany Lhyka Finez, Science Research Analyst of RDE. The consultation strengthened institutional partnerships and reinforced a shared commitment to sustainable and community-centered development initiatives.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝟒𝐏𝐬) officials, led by Ms. Kathryn B. Camacho, Social Welfare Officer V, and Ms. Crizzel Joy B. Viceno, Institutional Partnership Development Officer, visited the Occidental Mindoro State College – RDE Extension Unit Office and met with Ms. Mary Yole Apple Declaro-Ruedas, Director for Extension and Technical Advisory Services, to discuss opportunities for strengthening collaboration and engagement with the ETAS Office.

The officers explored possible future partnerships and learned more about the college’s extension programs and services for upcoming community-based initiatives. The meeting strengthened institutional ties and reinforced a shared commitment to inclusive and sustainable community development.
