The Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), serving as the Secretariat of the Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC), participated in the final session of the Local Multi-Sectoral Review Committee (LMSRC) conducted on May 28, 2026 at the SB Session Hall, MLGU Pandan.
The session, led by Hon. Raymond Nonato Gumboc, served as the final LMSRC discussion prior to the endorsement of the GSUP (Gratuitous Special Use Permit) application for the PandanโIbajay Road Project to the Sangguniang Bayan.
During the meeting, updates, findings, and recommendations from the previous site inspection and consultations were presented and discussed among participating agencies and stakeholders. It was also agreed that a technical conference to be led by the DENR will be scheduled for further discussion and clarification among all concerned agencies.
The activity highlighted the continuing collaborative effort of national government agencies, local officials, and stakeholders toward ensuring the projectโs compliance, environmental considerations, and effective implementation.

The Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC) participated in the consultative meeting on the possible amendment of Provincial Ordinance No. 2015-110 or the Provincial Tourism Code of Antique.
The meeting was held on May 26, 2026, at the Old Capitol Session Hall in San Jose, Antique.
PPDC Bienvinido E. Nallos Jr., EnP, attended the meeting together with stakeholders and concerned offices to discuss recommendations aimed at strengthening tourism programs and policies in the province.

May 21, 2026 | Monitoring of Infrastructure Development Projects in Pandan
The Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC) conducted a monitoring activity on various infrastructure projects funded by the Provincial Government in the Municipality of Pandan.
The following projects were monitored:
โข Upgrading / Renovation / Completion of Hospital Building of Justice Calixto O. Zaldivar Memorial Hospital
โข Construction of Multipurpose Covered Court- Elementary School, Tingib, Pandan
โข Construction of Multipurpose Center Phase 2, Duyong, Pandan
โข Concreting of Provincial Road, Bagumbayan, Pandan
Simultaneously, the continuous monitoring of the Solar Photovoltaic Systems installed in barangays across the province is being sustained to evaluate their operational condition and functionality.
Through these initiatives, the Provincial Government of Antique, through the OPPDC, remains committed to strengthening project monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in support of transparent, responsive, and sustainable local development.

May 20, 2026 | PPMC Monitoring Activity on the Laua-an-Tapaz Road Project
The Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC) conducted a monitoring activity on the Laua-anโTapaz Road Project in Laua-an, Antique on May 20, 2026.
The activity aimed to assess the progress and implementation status of the road project, and its compliance to environmental regulations. The Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), serving as the Secretariat of the PPMC, facilitated the conduct of the monitoring activity with the assistance from MLGU Laua-an.
Present during the activity were representatives from the MLGU-Laua-an, DENR-MGB, NCIP, and DPWH-DEO Antique. Also in attendance were members of the PPMC, representatives from MLGU-San Jose, and partner organizations Dihon sa Raya Institute Inc. and Hublag Evelio Inc.
The Provincial Government of Antique, through the PPMC and its partner agencies, remains committed to strengthening project monitoring mechanisms to ensure the effective implementation of infrastructure projects that contribute to the provinceโs sustainable growth and development.

May 18, 2026 | Releasing of Checks to Beneficiaries of Various OWWA Programs and Services in Antique
The distribution of financial assistance checks to beneficiaries of various programs and services of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) was successfully conducted at the AYMC Conference, reaffirming the governmentโs commitment to supporting Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.
The activity was attended by OWWA Acting Regional Director James Mendiola, SP Karmila Rose Dimamay, and PPDC ENP Bienvinido E. Nallos Jr., who expressed their strong support for initiatives that provide meaningful assistance and opportunities to OFWs and their dependents in the province.
The program was likewise conducted with the full support of Governor Paolo Everardo S. Javier, whose administration continues to strengthen programs and partnerships that promote the welfare and economic empowerment of Antiqueรฑo OFWs and their families.
Among the beneficiaries, the San Remigio OFW Association received financial assistance amounting to Php 1,000,000.00 for their Chicken Layer Egg Production Project, which aims to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities and strengthen income-generating activities for its members and the local community.
The financial assistance distributed also covered various OWWA programs and services, including educational assistance, livelihood support, medical assistance, and other welfare benefits intended to uplift the lives of beneficiaries and their families.
During the ceremonial turnover, beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the continued support and recognition extended by the government to the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of OFWs.
The activity further highlighted the dedication of OWWA and its partner agencies in delivering responsive, accessible, and people-centered public service while strengthening awareness of the various programs available to OFWs and their families in Antique.

A field validation for the proposed Water Desalination Project was conducted on May 12, 2026 in Barangay Malalison, Culasi, Antique, through the collaborative efforts of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC) Antique, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Culasi.
The activity formed part of the preliminary assessment process aimed at evaluating the condition and suitability of the proposed project site, as well as validating interventions designed to improve the communityโs access to safe, clean, and reliable potable water. The validation also ensured that the proposed project is responsive to the needs of the residents and compliant with the necessary technical and environmental standards for implementation.
During the activity, representatives from PRDP, OPPDC Antique, and LGU Culasi conducted on-site inspections, technical assessments, and data gathering to support the evaluation and planning of the proposed initiative.
The activity underscored the importance of sustainable water infrastructure projects in addressing water supply challenges and promoting the welfare of communities, particularly in geographically vulnerable areas.
Following the validation in Barangay Malalison, Barangay Batbatan and Barangay Maniguin in Culasi, are identified as the next proposed venues for field validation activities in relation to the implementation of similar water desalination interventions.
The proposed project likewise contributes to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, which advocates for universal access to safe and affordable drinking water. Moreover, it supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by helping reduce health risks associated with unsafe water sources and by promoting improved public health conditions within the community.
