HIV Screening and Testing
Our PDL's health is one of the many important things that we, Jail Officers take into consideration while they are under our custody. It specially affects one's mental, physical, and emotional well-being. With all this, we make sure to be proactive in dealing with health concerns in our jail unit.
Thru the leadership of our dedicated District Jail Warden, JCI ANTONIO A GUIYAB together with our unit C, Health Section/ Nurse JO2 Mener L Gutierrez and with the continuous help and support of San Jose City Health Office there were 117 PDL who benefited from the HIV Screening and Testing conducted on November 16, 2023. With this collaborated efforts, we aim to raise awareness and promote health consciousness among our PDL as part of their welfare and development program.
"Health is Wealth" they say, but how much do we care? Until we are no longer capable or free from doing things? or Not until we are already in our death bed thinking about the wasted times we spent being unhealthy. We at San Jose City District Jail would rather build wellness than treat illness.
