Layunin nitong tiyakin ang mas maagang suporta at mas komprehensibong pangangalaga sa kalusugan ng mga Pilipinong may kapansanan.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

Please be informed that the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) – LGU of San Miguel, Bulacan will be
CLOSED today, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), which has been declared a regular holiday nationwide under Proclamation No. 1264.

Regular office operations and services will **resume tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, 2026.

A successful and meaningful gathering was held on May 22, 2026 at the Ricardo Silvero Sr. Municipal Conference Room for the election of the new officers of the Samahan ng mga May Kapansanan sa San Miguel Inc. (PWD Federation).

The event marked a new chapter of leadership and unity for the organization, with the newly elected officers as follows:

* Treasurer: Levenel
* Auditor: Josephine
* PRO Cluster: Jinky, Daisy, Anna, and Marife

The ceremony was graced by MSWDO Mrs. Mariola P. Santos, together with Municipal Mayor John A. Alvarez, and the dedicated PDAO Officers who continue to support programs and services for Persons with Disabilities.

This event reflects the continued commitment of the local government and stakeholders in strengthening the voice, rights, and welfare of the PWD sector in the municipality.

Congratulations to all the newly elected officers! May this new leadership bring stronger unity, empowerment, and meaningful progress for the PWD community of San Miguel.

Oath Taking Ceremony of the Newly Elected Barangay PWD Presidents

The Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) – San Miguel, Bulacan proudly shares the successful conduct of the Oath Taking Ceremony of the Forty-Nine (49) Newly Elected Barangay Persons with Disability (PWD) Presidents held on May 11, 2026 at the Motorpool, Brgy. Poblacion, San Miguel, Bulacan.

The ceremony was highlighted by the inspirational message and oath administration of Hon. Mayor John A. Alvarez, who expressed his full support for the empowerment, leadership, and welfare of the PWD community in the municipality.

A total of forty-nine (49) Barangay PWD Presidents formally took their oath of office, symbolizing their commitment to serve, represent, and advocate for the rights and needs of persons with disabilities in their respective barangays.

This meaningful event also served as a celebration of unity, leadership, and inclusivity, strengthening the partnership between the local government and the PWD sector toward a more accessible and empowered community.

Congratulations to all newly elected Barangay PWD Presidents! May your leadership inspire positive change and genuine service for the PWD community.

Isang makabuluhan at masayang hapon ang ating pinagsaluhan sa pagdiriwang ng 𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲. Pinangunahan ito ng ating resource speaker na si Teacher Regina C. Javier, Owner ng KCC, na nagbahagi ng mahalagang kaalaman at inspirasyon tungkol sa pag-unawa at pagtanggap sa mga batang may autism.

Nagbigay rin ng mainit na pagbubukas si Mam Mariola P. Santos (MSWDO), kasama sina PDAO Office OIC Joy Marie M. Carpio at Disability Affairs Assistant Paulo D. Canlapan (Deaf or Hard of Hearing), na patuloy na nagsusulong ng inclusive programs para sa Persons with Disabilities.

Lubos din nating pinasasalamatan ang presensya ng mga SPED teachers mula sa SMES Central at KCC, pati na rin ang mga magulang na walang sawang sumusuporta sa kanilang mga anak. Naging masaya at makulay ang programa sa pamamagitan ng mga activities at sayaw kasama si Jollibee, na tunay na nagbigay ng ngiti at saya sa ating mga autism kids.

Maraming salamat po sa patuloy na suporta nina Mayor John A. Alvarez at MSWDO Mariola P. Santos, na walang sawang tumutulong upang maisakatuparan ang mga programang nagbibigay halaga at pagkakataon sa ating mga kababayan na may kapansanan.

Patuloy po nating isulong ang kamalayan, pagtanggap, at pagmamahal para sa lahat. 💙

ARAW NG MANGGAGAWA 🇵🇭

Ngayong Araw ng Manggagawa, kinikilala natin ang sipag, tiyaga, at ambag ng bawat manggagawang Pilipino lalo na ang mga persons with disabilities na patuloy na nagpapatunay na ang kakayahan ay hindi nasusukat sa limitasyon.

Ang tunay na inklusibong lipunan ay nagbibigay ng pantay na oportunidad sa trabaho, makatarungang sahod, at ligtas na kapaligiran para sa lahat.

Patuloy nating isulong ang accessible, inclusive, at makatarungang paggawa para sa bawat Pilipino.

19th World Autism Awareness Day (April 2026) 🧩

In celebration of the 19th World Autism Awareness Day this April 2026, the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), in partnership with MSWDO and Kids Core Connection, successfully conducted the distribution of tarpaulins to promote awareness, acceptance, and support for children with autism.

The activity aimed to strengthen community involvement and increase public understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The distributed tarpaulins serve as visual reminders to encourage inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunities for children with special needs.

Through the collaboration of PDAO, MSWDO, and Kids Core Connection, this initiative highlights the importance of unity in advocating for the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities, especially children with autism. The celebration emphasizes that every child deserves acceptance, support, and a chance to thrive in an inclusive community.
