The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) joins the global community in celebrating the 19th World Autism Awareness Day, “𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲,” from April 6 to 10, 2026.

This celebration raises awareness and advocates for equal opportunities by recognizing the unique strengths of people on the autism spectrum. It reminds us that understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for everyone with autism can help build a more supportive and inclusive community. Together, we move beyond awareness toward meaningful acceptance, creating a world where everyone can thrive.

𝗦𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗢𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘

The Municipality of San Miguel strengthened safety and security measures during the Holy Week observance through coordinated efforts of law enforcement, emergency responders, and barangay officials to ensure public safety and orderly conduct of activities across the municipality.

Personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Municipal Health Office (MHO) and Traffic Enforcers joined forces with barangay officials and barangay tanods in implementing security and traffic management measures in key areas.

The coordinated deployment focused on maintaining peace and order, managing crowd movement, and ensuring readiness for any emergency situations during the observance period.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) San Miguel continues its monitoring to ensure that safety protocols and coordination mechanisms are in place, supporting the collective efforts of local authorities in safeguarding the public during Holy Week.

𝗦𝗚𝗟𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗟

The Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) project in the Municipality of San Miguel underwent final inspection to validate compliance with project standards and ensure readiness for completion and turnover. The inspection assessed the quality of implementation and adherence to approved plans and specifications on March 31, 2026 in San Miguel, Leyte.

The inspection was conducted by the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) Engineers of DILG Leyte, Engr. Jovy Ann Kindy L. Cabaguing and Engr. Earl M. Agner, who evaluated the project based on established technical and documentary requirements.

The final inspection forms part of the monitoring process to ensure that SGLG-funded projects are properly implemented and meet the standards set under the program, supporting infrastructure development and service delivery at the local level.

Through this activity, DILG continues to uphold accountability and quality assurance in the implementation of locally funded projects, ensuring that investments under the SGLG Incentive Fund deliver intended benefits to the community.
