𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐏𝐒𝐊 & 𝐋𝐘𝐃𝐂 - March 28, 2026 at Operations Center, San Miguel, Leyte.

During today’s 1st Joint PPSK-LYDC Meeting, we took the time to conduct an orientation for the new set of Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) members through the guidance of our MLGOO-Mrs. Melecila Labordo and LYDO Designate, Ms. Kyle Lindvey Delmo.

Beyond just the rules and protocols, we discussed the heart of the LYDC: why our roles exist and how our voices serve as the bridge between the youth and the government. Understanding our "Why" is the first step toward making a real impact.

We also welcomed the newly elected SSLG Presidents from SMNHS & SCNHS for a courtesy call—proving that leadership is a continuous chain of service from the schools to the community.

On the other hand, the PPSK made a comprehensive check on attendance, compliances, and other administrative matters to keep our federation moving efficiently.

After a thorough deliberation by the SK Chairpersons in charge, it has been decided that the SK Booth and the Historical Exhibit scheduled for March 9–10 will be postponed today, March 9, due to the occurring heavy rain brought by the current low-pressure weather condition.

The activities will continue tomorrow, March 10, as scheduled.

We kindly ask for everyone’s understanding and cooperation.

Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) of San Miguel held a Special Session today with Ma'am Melicila Abordo, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), who discussed Department of the Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular No. 2024-069 on health and wellness initiatives, including the preparations for the upcoming Founding Anniversary Fun Run.

The body also deliberated on the finalization of activities for the upcoming Founding Anniversary, as well as the amendment of the Internal Rules of Procedure (IRP) and the proposed PPSK Budget for CY 2026.

Today, February 17, 2026, The PPSK-San Miguel held a Special Session focused on two key pillars of local progress: the upcoming Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of San Miguel and the implementation of Road Clearing Operations.

As the municipality prepares for its milestone anniversary, the council engaged in strategic planning to ensure the youth play a central role in honoring our town's history and vibrant culture. The session also featured an insightful orientation by MLGOO, Ma’am Melecila Labordo, who emphasized the importance of road clearing in maintaining public safety and order.

By balancing the excitement of our town’s celebration with a commitment to civic discipline, the PPSK continues to work hand-in-hand with the local government for a safer, more festive, and more organized San Miguel.
