KOMUNIAKSYON 2026 | Turning Statistics into Action for a Better Future!
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Office I, through the Ilocos Norte Provincial Statistical Office, successfully conducted the 2026 KomuniAksyon: Statistics as Building Blocks for a Better Future on 08 October 2026 at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), City of Batac, Ilocos Norte, as part of the celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month (NSM).
The activity brought together students and personnel from Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Northwestern University (NWU), Data Center College of the Philippines (DCCP), and Northern Christian College (NCC), along with representatives from selected Local Government Units (LGUs) and the private sector.
Through informative discussions and interactive booths, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of official statistics and the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in supporting evidence-based decision-making, strengthening local development planning, and promoting responsive governance.
Adding to the excitement, participants received free Civil Registry Documents and had the chance to win National ID merchandise, including mugs, umbrellas, T-shirts, and foldable fans. The activity also brought PSA programs and services closer to the public, highlighting the agency's commitment to providing accessible and citizen-centered services.
Anchored on this year's NSM theme, “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism,” the KomuniAksyon 2026 reinforced the vital role of reliable data in building informed communities and shaping a better future for all.
Because every number counts, and every insight can inspire meaningful change!
