ICYMI: Last week, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Pedro approved SP Resolution No. 2026-146, urging the San Pedro Water District and its concessionaire, PrimeWater, to immediately address the ongoing water service issues affecting our communities.

The resolution calls for the suspension of penalties, a temporary moratorium on service disconnections, and the granting of appropriate rebates or bill adjustments for affected consumers. We continue to urge PrimeWater to take swift and concrete action to resolve these persistent problems and ensure better water service. 💙🇵🇭

44𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 | Today, the 44th Regular Session of the 20th Legislative Council of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Pedro was held and presided over by Acting Vice Mayor/Presiding Officer Pro Tempore Michael Casacop.

Among the measures discussed and approved were:

Kabilang dito ang mas maayos na prenatal care, nutrition at feeding support, breastfeeding programs, immunization, monitoring laban sa malnutrition at stunting, pati mga programang makatutulong sa kalusugan at kinabukasan ng bawat batang San Pedronian.

Mahalagang matutukan ang first 1,000 days ng isang bata—mula pagbubuntis hanggang ika-2 taong gulang—dahil ito ang pinaka-kritikal na yugto ng cognitive development, pag-unlad ng katawan, at ng immune system ng isang tao.

Sa panahong ito, napakabilis ng brain development: umaabot sa humigit-kumulang 80–90% ng brain growth ang nangyayari bago mag-limang taong gulang, at malaking bahagi nito ay nasa unang 1,000 araw. 💙🇵🇭
