Today marks the 128th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence on June 12, 1898, led by Emilio Aguinaldo in Kawit, Cavite, where the first Philippine flag was formally unfurled and the national anthem was played for the first time.

It is a day to honor the sacrifices, courage, and enduring spirit of the Filipino people in the pursuit of freedom and self-determination.

UPDATE | The Municipal Youth Development Council officially convened for its 2nd Quarterly Meeting held at the San Remigio Municipal Conference Room on June 10, 2026.

The meeting opened with a post-assessment and feedback session on the recently concluded activities, including Sportsfest 2026, Sayaw Kabataan 2026, the Reactivation and Convention of PYAP Club Officers, and other youth-centered programs and initiatives.

Council members also discussed the upcoming activities set to be implemented in the coming months, such as the Pride Month Celebration, Ladderized Peer Education Training Levels 1 and 2, Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration, and the highly anticipated Youth Camp 2026.

The meeting officially adjourned at 4:45 P.M., marking a productive and meaningful discussion among the council members in strengthening youth participation and development in the municipality.

As we officially welcome Pride Month, we are delighted to have joined this year’s gathering of youth leaders and LGBTQ+ organizations from across the cities and Province of Cebu for a meaningful discussion on SOGIESC, the foundations of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), and research-based findings on LGBTQ+ concerns that may guide future policy interventions.

The event was made possible through the full coordination of the Cebu Pride Movement and its partners, together with the Cebu Provincial Youth Development Office.

Together, we continue to strengthen inclusive spaces, empower communities, and advocate for equality and meaningful representation for all.

Team San Remigio Waves Advances to the Semi-Final Round at the Tabuelan Siglakas Basketball League

After a thrilling victory against City of Bogo in the highly anticipated do-or-die game, Team San Remigio Waves has officially secured its spot in the Semi-Final Round of the Tabuelan Siglakas Basketball League.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all the hardworking players, coaches, and supporters whose dedication, teamwork, and commitment made this achievement possible. Your perseverance and determination on the court truly paid off.

Let us continue to show our full support for Team San Remigio Waves this Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 8:00 PM as they battle for Game 1 of the Semi-Final Round in the Tabuelan Siglakas Basketball League.
