Amid the many challenges faced by the agricultural sector—from climate change to unpredictable weather and other emerging concerns—the Municipal Agricultural and Fishery Council (MAFC) remains committed to taking meaningful action.

MAFC 3rd Quarter Meeting was made more meaningful through a Tree Planting Activity, reminding us that strengthening agriculture also means protecting the environment that sustains our farmers and communities.

The Sta. Barbara Poultry and Livestock Growers Association was officially recieved 25 does and 2 bucks last August 8, 2026, under the Livestock Economic Enterprises Development Program of the DA-RFO 1.

The assistance, with a total value of ₱1,200,000 including goat feeds, was distributed through the Municipal Agriculture Office.

This initiative aims to strengthen the local livestock industry, generate sustainable livelihood opportunities, and expand income sources for association members.

The program reflects the continued commitment to supporting local farmers and livestock raisers toward a more productive and sustainable agricultural community. 🌱🐐

The Municipal Agriculture Office successfully conducted the distribution of bio-fertilizers (Humi-N and Folimac) for second day to registered farmers from the following barangays:

📍 Gueguesangen, Nilombot, Maronong, Sapang, Poblacion Sur, Poblacion Norte, Patayak, Balingueo, Maningding, and Maticmatic

The activity was held at the Municipal Agriculture Office grounds and was led by Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Oliver C. Jasmin, together with the dedicated agriculture office staff. Despite rainfall advisories and inclement weather, the Municipal Agriculture Office staff willingly proceeded to duty—unshaken by the rain! The team remains committed and ready to serve—no weather advisory or downpour can stop their dedication to the farmers of Sta. Barbara. Service continues, rain or shine! The resilience and heart for service are truly inspiring. Even under the work-from-home arrangement and remote work challenges, they remain focused and devoted to our agriculture sector and the welfare of every farmer in our municipality.

Leet, Erfe, Banzal, Banaoang, Tuliao, Alibago, Dalongue, Tebag East & Tebag West, Minien East & Minien West of Sta. Barbara. The activity was held at the Municipal Agriculture Office grounds and was led by Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Oliver C. Jasmin together with the dedicated agriculture office staff.

The Municipal Agriculture Office has successfully conducted the distribution of inorganic fertilizer (urea) to to***co farmers of Sta. Barbara. The activity was funded from the To***co Excise Tax, implemented through the Local Government Unit, and led by Hon. Mayor Carlito S. Zaplan.

This initiative is part of the municipal government's continuing support to the local agriculture sector, specifically aimed at helping to***co farmers reduce production costs and improve their crop yield.
