SANTA FE, LEYTE — Santa Fe Municipal Police Station (MPS), under the leadership of PMAJ ANTONIO M ANGCAY JR, Acting Chief of Police, arrested a wanted person on the morning of October 2, 2026 in Brgy. Zone 2, Santa Fe, Leyte.

The arrested individual, a 48 year-old driver, married, and a resident of Brgy 85 San Jose, Tacloban City was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Assisting Judge of Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), Branch 2, Tacloban City, for violation of City Ordinance No. 2000-01.

During the arrest, the individual was properly informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language known to and fully understood by him. He was subsequently brought to the Santa Fe MPS for proper documentation and disposition prior to his turnover to the issuing court.

“This accomplishment reflects our commitment in enforcing the law and ensuring that individuals with standing warrants are properly apprehended and brought before the proper authorities. Santa Fe MPS remains dedicated in upholding the rule of law and promoting peace, order, and public safety in the community.” PMAJ ANGCAY JR stated.

PNP personnel of Santa Fe Municipal Police Station, under the supervision of PMAJ ANTONIO M ANGCAY JR, Acting Chief of Police, conducted checkpoint operations at Barangay Zone 2, Santa Fe, Leyte.

This checkpoint operation is carried out to ensure the safety of both residents and drivers. It enables the PNP personnel to monitor and evaluate the motorists' adherence to local traffic laws, helping to prevent accidents and enhance overall road safety.
