A meaningful day of training, discipline, and leadership for the 279th NROTC Unit and the students of the College of Maritime!

Today, September 27, 2026, the unit conducted its 7th Training Day, alongside the MOCC (Midshipman Officer Candidate Course) Reception Rites, formally welcoming and receiving aspiring Officer Candidates as they begin their journey toward leadership and service.

The 7th Training Day provided an opportunity for our Midshipmen and Midshipwomen to further develop their discipline, teamwork, leadership, and responsibility, while the MOCC Reception Rites marked the beginning of a new chapter for our aspiring Officer Candidates.

To all our cadets and MOCC Officer Candidates, continue to uphold the values of commitment, perseverance, teamwork, and dedication as you move forward in your training. ⚓

Another milestone for the students of the College of Maritime as they took part in the 4th Training Day and Prelim Examination of the 279th NROTC Unit. ⚓

The examination served as an opportunity for our Midshipmen and Midshipwomen to demonstrate the knowledge and lessons they have gained throughout their training.
