April 30, 2026, the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) headed by Engr. Maria Amor Salandanan EnP., supported the Immersion, Ecotourism, and Familiarization Tour at the Santa Rosa Environmental Testing Laboratory.

The activity, initiated by the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) as part of its continuing environmental advocacy and Earth Month celebration, gathered representatives from various national government agencies, bureaus, and attached offices across the Laguna de Bay Region.

Participants were provided with a meaningful, first-hand learning experience on the City’s environmental programs, including sustainable practices, water resource management, and ecological initiatives. The activity also featured a lake water sampling demonstration, further strengthening awareness on environmental protection and stewardship.

Through this collaborative effort, the City of Santa Rosa reaffirms its commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible ecotourism.

The City of Santa Rosa proudly took part in advancing smarter and more sustainable communities!

Last April 29, 2026, the City Government of Santa Rosa, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), City Information Technology Office (CITO), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator, supported the Regional Seminar on Smart Community Planning for Provincial and Municipal Planners organized by DOST MIMAROPA Region. The seminar was held at the Santa Rosa Environmental Testing Laboratory.

As part of the benchmarking activities, participants explored the facility and gained valuable insights into Santa Rosa’s initiatives in environmental management, water resource sustainability, and the integration of smart solutions in public service delivery.

This meaningful exchange of knowledge reflects the City’s strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and collaboration in building resilient and future-ready communities.

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office conducted the Environmental Summit for Public and Private Schools in the City of Santa Rosa last April 22, 2026 at the Santa Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex—celebrating Earth Day 2026 and the Earth Month of April in a meaningful way.

With the theme “Strengthening Community Action for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development,” the summit brought together around 500 participants from different public and private schools in Santa Rosa, students and educators ready to turn awareness into real action.

Led by Engr. Maria Amor A. Salandanan, the office shared its functions, services, and environmental programs, giving participants a deeper understanding of the city’s environmental efforts. Engr. Lexter B. Sandoval of EMB-4A CALABARZON also highlighted key laws, the RA 9003 and RA 11898 reminding everyone that protecting the planet is a shared responsibility.

BALIKAN | Nakiisang muli ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Santa Rosa sa pandaigdigang pagdiriwang ng Earth Hour noong Marso 28, 2026 bilang pagpapakita ng matibay na suporta sa pangangalaga ng kalikasan at pagsusulong ng responsableng paggamit ng enerhiya.
Sa pangunguna ng City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), sabay-sabay na pinatay ang mga ilaw sa City Plaza ganap na 8:30 ng gabi. Dumalo rin sa nasabing aktibidad sina Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas at Vice Mayor Arnold B. Arcillas bilang pagsuporta.
