The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Santa, headed by PESO Manager Ms. Kimberly Anne Ritua-Tabudlo, participated in the 2nd Quarter Barangay Assembly of Barangay Oribi on October 25, 2026.

During the assembly, Ms. Tabudlo presented the various programs and services offered by PESO Santa, providing community members with information on employment opportunities, employment assistance, and other relevant services. She also addressed questions and concerns raised by the attendees to promote a better understanding of the programs and services available to them.

PESO Santa continues to strengthen community engagement and promote greater awareness of employment programs and services, ensuring that these opportunities are accessible to the constituents of Santa, Ilocos Sur.

Based on PEIS and PhilJobNet data reported by San Quintin, Dagupan City, and Bayambang, Pangasinan; Rosario, La Union; and Bantay and Santa, Ilocos Sur for October 16–22, 2026, Store Helper recorded the highest number of reported vacancies, with 50 vacancies. Meanwhile, San Quintin, Pangasinan recorded the highest number of reported vacancies among the reporting locations, also with 50 vacancies.

The Department of Labor and Employment – Ilocos Sur Field Office (DOLE-ISFO I) conducted the payout and monitoring of Government Internship Program (GIP) interns under the initiative of Congresswoman Kristine Singson-Meehan.

It served as an opportunity to monitor the interns’ progress, assess their experiences, and ensure the proper implementation of the program as they gain valuable work experience and develop essential skills in public service.

PESO Santa expresses its appreciation to DOLE-ISFO I for its continued commitment to providing employment opportunities and supporting the professional growth of the youth in the Municipality of Santa.

Tinalakay ni Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino sa isang panayam ang apat na labor advisories na nakatakdang ilabas ng DOLE bilang paghahanda sa epekto ng El Niño.

Kabilang dito ang kompensasyon para sa mga manggagawang makararanas ng work-related heat illnesses, proteksyon para sa delivery riders, mga patakaran sa pagtatrabaho batay sa heat index tulad ng flexible work arrangements, at paggamit ng angkop na kasuotan sa panahon ng matinding init.

Binigyang-diin din ni Sec. Tolentino ang kahalagahan ng kaligtasan at kalusugan ng mga manggagawa sa gitna ng tumataas na temperatura.

𝐆𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲: 𝟐𝟎-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞

After 20 days of dedicated work, the results of the collective efforts of TUPAD beneficiaries from Batch 1 and Batch 2 under the Puso Ti Kababaihan Program of Congresswoman Kristine Singson-Meehan are now evident in different barangays of Santa, Ilocos Sur.

Throughout the program, the beneficiaries focused on cleaning, maintaining, and improving their respective Gulayan sa Barangay, helping ensure that these community gardens remain clean, organized, and productive.

Beyond providing temporary employment, the program also empowered beneficiaries to contribute to meaningful community initiatives that promote cleanliness, sustainability, and food production.

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Santa proudly recognizes five former beneficiaries of the Government Internship Program (GIP) who have successfully transitioned from government interns to employees of the Local Government Unit of Santa.

The Government Internship Program, an initiative of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) implemented locally in coordination with PESO Santa, provides young individuals with opportunities to gain practical work experience, develop professional skills, and become familiar with government operations. Through this program, aspiring professionals are equipped with valuable knowledge and experience that can help them pursue meaningful careers.

October 8, 2026 | The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Santa, together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Ilocos Sur Field Office, carried out the second day of monitoring for TUPAD beneficiaries under the Puso Ti Kababaihan program.

The activity focused on the remaining barangays not covered during the initial monitoring, ensuring that beneficiaries are properly carrying out their assigned community cleanup and maintenance tasks.

This highlights the continued efforts of PESO Santa and DOLE ISFO in promoting community development through meaningful employment opportunities.
