Barangay Chairman Voluntarily Surrenders Loose Fi***rm and Am******on to Sara MPS

Sara, Iloilo – At about 9:30 AM on May 29, 2026, at Barangay Batitao, Sara, Iloilo, Barangay Chairman Aaron Espiso Bisacay, married, and a resident of Barangay Batitao, voluntarily surrendered one (1) unit of homemade 12-gauge sh***un without a serial number, one (1) magazine, and four (4) live rounds of am******on to the Sara Municipal Police Station .

According to Chairman Bisacay, the fi***rm and am******on were turned over to him by one of his constituents in support of the government’s campaign against loose fi***rms. Recognizing the importance of public safety and responsible fi***rm control, he immediately coordinated with authorities and voluntarily surrendered the items to the police.

The surrendered fi***rm and am******on are now under the custody of Sara MPS for proper documentation, processing, and disposition in accordance with existing laws and regulations.

Under the leadership of PLT BRETT G BALOPIÑOS, Officer-in-Charge, Sara Municipal Police Station continues to strengthen its campaign against loose fi***rms and encourages the public to cooperate with law enforcement authorities by voluntarily surrendering unlicensed fi***rms and am******on to help ensure peace, order, and safety within the community.

Sara MPS expresses its appreciation to Chairman Bisacay and all concerned citizens who support the Philippine National Police efforts in maintaining a secure and peaceful environment for everyone.

Barangay Chairman Voluntarily Surrenders Explosive Am******on to Sara MPS

Sara, Iloilo – At about 4:05 PM on May 28, 2026, at Barangay Preciosa, Sara, Iloilo, Mr. Cesar Buenafe Somera, married, Barangay Chairman and resident of Barangay Preciosa, voluntarily surrendered one (1) piece of 40mm High-Explosive Gr***de am******on to the Sara Municipal Police Station .

According to Mr. Somera, the explosive am******on was turned over to him by one of his constituents in support of the government’s campaign against loose fi***rms, am******on, and other explosive devices. Recognizing the potential danger posed by the item, he immediately coordinated with authorities and voluntarily surrendered it for safekeeping and proper disposition.

The surrendered explosive am******on is now under the custody of the Sara Municipal Police Station pending proper handling and disposition by authorized personnel.

Under the leadership of PLT BRETT G BALOPIÑOS, Officer-in-Charge, Sara MPS continues to encourage the public to support law enforcement efforts by voluntarily surrendering loose fi***rms, am******on, and explosive devices to help maintain peace, order, and public safety in the community.

Distribution of Flyers/EIC Materials

Personnel of Sara Municipal Police Station composed of PSMS Michael J Omiple, Team Leader PNCO, together with PSSg Ryan Chrsitopher B Batuigas, Evidence Custodian PNCO, under the supervision of PLT BRETT G BALOPIÑOS, OIC, conducted dialogue, information dissemination, and distribution of flyers and other EIC (Education and Information Campaign) materials to members of the community.

The activity aimed to raise public awareness on crime prevention, public safety, anti-criminality campaigns, and other community concerns through active engagement and information sharing. Residents were encouraged to remain vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and actively participate in maintaining peace and order within the municipality.

Through this initiative, Sara MPS continues to strengthen police-community relations and uphold its commitment to delivering responsive public service, promoting safety awareness, and fostering a more informed and secure community.

FOOT PATROL

Personnel of Sara Municipal Police Station led by PSMS Michael J Omiple, Team Leader PNCO, together with PSSg Ryan Christopher B Batuigas, Evidence Custodian PNCO, under the supervision of PLT BRETT G BALOPIÑOS, OIC, conducted intensified foot patrol operations within the municipality to ensure public safety, maintain peace and order, and strengthen police visibility in the community.

The activity aimed to deter criminal activities, enhance public confidence, and promote a safer environment for residents and visitors. Likewise, the personnel actively engaged with community members and reminded the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious individuals or incidents to the authorities.

Sara MPS remains committed in continuously conducting proactive security measures and community-based policing efforts in support of a peaceful and orderly municipality.
