IN PHOTOS: The PNPA Fire cadets, along with FO1 Salazar of Cabuyao Fire Station, observed the conduct of inspection at the Royal Cold Storage. The inspection covers the building for any potential fire hazard and compliance with the issuance of permit for the continuation of the operation.

IN PHOTOS: Fire Cadets had a lecture regarding the Fire and Arson Investigation Procedures and Practices, which the Cabuyao Fire Station personnel SFO2 Fadri and FO2 Labunos presented. The lecture was followed by SFO2 Quincena about the admin works and its function in a fire station.

IN PHOTOS: PNPA Fire Cadets stationed at Cabuyao Fire Station and SF02 Sabigan visited the One Stop Shop at Cabuyao Athletes Basic School (CABS) and observed the processing of Renewal and Issuance of Business Permit and Fire Safety Inspection Certificate.

IN PHOTOS: The PNPA Fire Cadets had an experience in the basics of firefighting, starting from Personal Protective Equipment to the suppression of fire. Included in the discussion were the different methods of hose throwing and proper maintenance of fire hose.

PNPA Fire Cadets get a hands-on discussion on Medical First Responders in actual demonstration and simulation using different equipment. The following lecture was on fire behavior, where its nature can be understood, and how it can be suppressed. The discussions were supervised by FSINSP CESAR A MORFE and instructors from BFP Region IV-A.

IN PHOTOS: Fire cadets in the Cabuyao Fire Station had their lecture about the behavior of fire, how to use a portable fire fighting apparatus and the phases of firefighting.
Responding and managing fire emergencies is one of the primary duties of the BFP, including responding to the scene of a fire, assessing the situation, and rescuing people and property from the fire. Also, it is not just limited in supressing fire but to provide medical attention, and ensure that the area is safe for the public.

IN PHOTOS: The members of Philippine National Police Academy MASIDTALAK CLASS 2023 Fire Cadets rendered a courtesy call in the Regional Office IV-A to the Assistant Regional Director for Operations, SSUPT MARIA VICTORIA P BRUAL, DSC, SSUPT SSUPT SHEILA C ANDRADE, Regional Chief of Staff and SSUPT GAY FALTADO FLORENTINO, Chief, Special Rescue Force. The Fire Cadets proceed to the Laguna Provincial Office under the leadership of F/SUPT Ronnie Benedicto, to render a courtesy call related to the conduct of the station immersion. The last activity of the Fire Cadets was to proceed to their designated Fire station, namely Sta Rosa, Calamba, and Cabuyao Fire Station, for a week-long station immersion.

IN PHOTOS: Rappelling is one of the highlights of every rescue training, and it requires overcoming the fear of heights to perform it and relying your life on every line of ropes and equipment to descend from high structures like buildings.
This process is descending through a rope using a combination of system components. It is used to reach a certain lower level for specific tasks such as to rescue or retrieve persons or things which are in danger.

IN PHOTOS: Ladder is another piece of equipment for a rescuer to be able to climb or reach a part of a building which saves time and adds more possible entry for the rescuer, also that can be utilized to evacuate from immediate danger.
Ladder is one of the most commonly used tools that aids in reaching elevated things that we cannot reach by just standing or even by using ancillary tools. It has different types that adapt to every specific use.

IN PHOTOS: In situations that a traverse line is used to make a rescue with victims that are beyond a cliff or over the edge. The traversing techniques is used by the rescuer to establish a main line and travel across to pick the victim in low lying areas.
It is a necessity to have a system that will traverse a load through ropes to avoid obstructions or dangers. This system is designed to withstand the severe tension and the dynamic nature of the traversing process mainly played by a rope which is considered the highway of the system and the anchor points where these lines are connected.
